Hello - don't know of you are still around, but I am interested in the John and Annie mentioned in your post from Lincolnshire. I am trying to figure out if the Annie mentioned is Annie nee Sampson born abt. 1865 in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England. We believe she married a Rastall in the late 1880's but cannot find a definite match. Thank you!

i am looking for information on a charles rastall and his family. charles was born 1790 and married ann (of unknown last name). They only had one child that i know of, sarah rastall. sarah was born 1815 in nottingham and died 1882 also in nottingham. She married john crofts in 1837 and they had 9 children.

Hi Richard Rastall born 1813 is the great grandfather of my mother-in-law. His grandson Frederick Rastall lived in Tamworth, Staffordshire which is where some of the family still live. I have traced the Rastall side back to 1640, but should you have any further details, I would be most interested to hear from you

My ancestors were related to Richard Rastall who married Maria Hunt in Lincolnshire. Richard was born Aunsby and a Farmer. On the 1901 census it looks like most of his Family have moved to the Sheffield area. There are Amos Rastall and wife Mary, William Rastall and wife Elizabeth, Frederick and Elizabeth, John and Annie. Are any of these related to you.

I am trying to find information on Rowland Restall/Rastall, born 1845, North Piddle, Worcestershire. He married Elizabeth ?, and had the following children:- Annie, William, Ellen, Kate, Alice, Harriett, Agnes and Emily. Agnes is my line. They moved to Gloucestershire, I found them on the 1891 Randwick census. I am looking for any information on Rowland... his parents, his birth etc. Any help would be most appreciated.

I was so excited about your contact, that when I wrote you earlier I didn't check for errors. As my husband says "you have fat finger syndrome" which causes these errors.

I wish that they would have a spell check on these message boards.

I was asked today how you found me. Did some one you know bring your attention to the site or are you also doing family research and came across my messages?
I hope that my errors didn't scare you off. Or that I ask that you put the C. O.D. of your Grandmother Marjorie. The reasoning is people including myself may already have put too much info on the message boards.

By doing it my way no one but you get the requested information. It is just a safe guard from what they call identity
fraud/theft.

Betty and Patti were very excited about your contact. They said it has been years since they have seen your Mom or you and your sister.

I will be anxiously awaiting your response.

Am I assuming correctly that you are few years older then Betty and I? We were both born in the early 40's.
Unless your Grandmother married late because your Uncle was quite a bit older thern her brother who was about 2 when the family left Michigan.

It just dawned on me that you may possibly not know the cause of your grandmothers death. Below are several causes of mortality and your grandmother's cause is amongst them.
I hope if you knw the answer that it doesn't bring back any unwanted memories.

NATURAL CAUSES SUCH AS:

HEART FAILURE CARDIAC ARREST
STROKE CEREBRAL ACCIDENT
CANCER

BLUNT TRAMA

ACCIDENTIAL

UN-NATURAL:

SUICIDE
MURDER

But, you may know where she worked or where she is buried or her mode of transportation.
I am not sure of your age at the time of your grandmother's death. and you would need the death certificate to find out. But the answers to athat first question is in the list above. So as not to put you through the expense of getting a certificate,skip that question and answer any two of the above questions.
As I said in earlier email we have to protect ourselves from Identity Theft.

Mae Fanny Rastall and Martin Rastall are both descended from Richard and Sarah Rastall, who emigrated to the region around Milwaukee in the early 1850s, along with their five sons. Richard's brothers William and Edward had come here a few years earlier. Richard's English home was in Cheltenham, where he had been a verger at St. Mary's Church, one of the oldest churches in England. Does his family match up with anu of the Rastalls you know of? I am looking for the family of Marjorie. I know that she is deceased. She was born 10-24-1905 and Died 11-00-1974. She was born in Michigan to James Fredrick and Ida Jane Rudd-Shuler. At least I think she was born in the Pontiac, Mich. Area. Sometime long before 1938 they moved to Los Angles California. And all info. on this family will be greatly appreciated. Some where along the line a George Frederick Shuler joins the family. Now whether this is a natural or adopted brother or a child of Marjorie. It only matters to include this family as well as the family of George in our family tree that I am doing James Shuler was my grandfather's brother. This is the last branch of this part of the family to fill in.

I am writing to you hoping you can help me return a picture. Last year at a flea market in Meridan Connecticut I purchased a small framed picture. I removed the picture and hidden inside was a photograph of a baby and on the back was hand written: Mae Fanny Rastall taken April 6, 1913 Age 3 months and 6 days .
