Thank you for your reply. My Thomas Reardon (born about 1854) came from Tipperary Ireland about 1880 and had 5 siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His 3 brothers (Jeremiah, John and Edmond) all settled in New England. His father was Edmond & his mother was Johanna. If this information fits your Thomas Reardon please respond.

Hi. I just saw you post. My grandfather was Michael J. Reardon from Ireland. He was either from Cork or Mayo (not sure - my grandmother was from one or the other). My grandmother's name was Catherine Riordan Reardon. My grandfather had a large family. I know one of his brother's names was Bernard - and may Bartholomew. When he came over from Ireland, his first stop was New York. He then went to Roxbury (Boston area) as my mother went to Mission High in Roxbury. After that, they moved to Randolph. I also know that there is a pretty large plot of Reardon's in a cemetery in Massachusetts where my grandfather is buried with his brothers. I can probably get the name of the cemetery if you think this is the same family.

Hello, my great-great grandfather (John Riordan)left Ireland during the potato famine and went to Wales to live. He live and died there and is buried there in Wales. My tree (O'Neil/Reardon Family Tree) will show you all that information. The Riordan/Reardon family is indeed very large, and orginated in Mallow, Couty Cork Ireland, where lots of Riordans are still there. Many of my ancestors are buried there as well. I am trying to locate some of his siblings, names etc. I am sure he had other family members. Maybe we are connected in someway. Regards, Dan

I am looking for any information on John Rearden who lived in Arrow Rock, Saline Co, Missouri. He was born about 1835 in Ireland. I have been told Cork County, but I am not sure how accurate that is. All of the records I can find only specify Ireland and I have found birth/baptism records for several John Rearden/Reardon/Riordons born in Ireland, some in Cork, others in other counties. I am trying to find information on when exactly he came to America (he was married in 1860, so before then, btu other than that I have several records for John Reardens from Ireland). I also am trying to find out who his parents were in Ireland. Since all the American records I find only specify Ireland I just have no idea how to narrow it down. Any help is greatly appreciated. Or even just tips.

Looking for info about
Hanora Reardon and Jeremiah Shea. They were both born about 1779-1803 in County Kerry.
It is possible Hanora was the daughter of Jeremiah Reardon and Mary Scannell? It is unkn but possible? that they may have come to the USA at somepoint.
They had Mary Shea (abt 1820) who married Michael F. Boyle of Brambles, Killkenny, Ireland in Ireland. Mary & Michael came to the USA by 1852. Mary died in Boston, MA in 1891 on Ezmerald Street.(She was a widow when she died). Michael F. Boyle was born Sept. 15, 1803.
They had a bunch of children in Ireland and raised them in MA.

Hello, I am very new to real geneological research and am an O'Rear in the USA. From what I have been able to initially determine my direct ancestors left Ireland around 1607. Recentluy I've been able to travel to the UK and plan to continue doing so at least once a year from here on. I would greatly appreciate any early family history you can share with me and particularly as related to ancient lands location. I'm hoping to travel to Ireland later this year.

Timothy Reardon, who served as gunner on the United States steamer Kearsarge during its famous battle with the confederate privateer Alabama, outside the harbor of Cherbourg, France, and who later served under Farragut in Mobile Bay, died in Brooklyn, on the 29th, aged 61.

Their daughter, Mary Conley, b. 1848 in Cleveland, OH, married (1867) William McPhee, b. 1845 in Ontario, Canada, had 13 children, lived in Saginaw, MI and both died in Buffalo, NY.

I'm nor sure what village my grandfather and Parents came from but they were O'Readons but dropped the O when they came here. My great grandfather was George Reardon married to Ruth Reardon. They had 2 George and Jack Reardon my grandfather. Who married Dorthy Schultz. Ironically my Mother Carol Reardon married my father Darrel Brockett (son of Raymond Brockett) and Kathrine Beauchaine. The Beauchaine name in Michigan goes back till the 1600 it was changed several times. I mention this because in an earlier post a Beauchese which is another name change my grandmothers name is. My parents grew up and both family's in macomb/east Detroit areas.

I have an ancestor whose middle name is Breen. I can't figure out where it came from. His name is Charles Breen Bischoff. He was born in NJ in 1893 to Jacob Bishcoff and Catherine Lane. Do any of these names ring a bell?

Reardon/Riordan's in NJ

Long story short. I found that my maternal grandfather, Francis Reardon, had 9 Aunts & Uncles in the Summit, NJ area in the late 1800's. He passed in 2009 and I found this out prior to his death and I was able to tell him what I found. He never knew his father, Michael Reardon, had any family, except of a woman named Elsie who lived in CT. Even her relation is questionable as to whether she was Michael's niece or cousin.
If there are any Reardon's in the NJ area who have an ancestor named Johanna (married Lynus Walpole), Dennis, Mary, Margaret, William, John, Catherine, Joseph or Thomas Reardon please contact me at colleenbrady913@aol.com.
Their parents were William and Mary Hanley born in Ireland.

James Reardon Dublin, Ireland/North Dakota

I am looking for James Reardon before 1922. He allegedly was born in Dublin, Ireland 15 December 1884. His parents may have been James and Cora Reardon. I have sent to Dublin for his birth certificate but they cannot find one. He appears in Rolette County, North Dakota when he marries Agnes Wilkie, a member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa (Ojibwa)20 October 1922. The marriage certificate says he was from Fargo, ND but I still cannot find a record there. I have searched census records for the area with no success. His daughter says that he "jumped ship" off the coast of Nova Scotia and crossed Canada before coming down into North Dakota (and possibly Minnesota...)

My John Breen came from Tipperary. Born in 1841. In 1860-1861 he served in St Patrick's Battalion of the Pope's Army as a volunteer. He came to USA in June of 1870 and married Ellen Ryan in Chicago on Oct. 7, 1871 the night befpre the Chicago fire. One of his witnesses at his marriage was William Breen, probably a brother. Is any of this familiar to you? One of his sons became a Viatorian Priest, Father Martin Joseph Breen. John died in Chicago in 1897.

Reardons of Cork, Kent & Massachusetts

I've figured out that my Jeremiah REARDON was in fact born in Gravesend, Kent England in 1860 to Irish parents b. in Cork between 1820-30 or so. Does anyone else have connections to Reardons in any of these regions at this time? I've found nothing for births or marriages for the Cork couple and am just starting to search Kent records for anything on Jeremiah & his siblings, Dennis, Julia, Morris, & Ellen all b.~1852-1866 in Kent.

Anyone have a connection to these folks?

William Jeremiah Reardon/OReardon

I am looking for my great grandfather William Jeremiah Reardon born approximately 1872. His parents were Daniel and Annie Reardon (b. 1831-1841) but we think they might have changed their name from OReardon/ORiordan or it was possibly Daniel's parents who changed the name when they arrived in London from Ireland.

William J Reardon said he had a brother who moved to US to start a medical centre/hospital- I dont have any other details than this!

So frustrating, I only have the workhouse records and back to 1891 census so far to go on.
They lived in London/Whitechapel area in 1901-1911.

Just noticed your remarks re Jeremiah REardon. His brother Denis (born 1854 in Gravesend) was my great grandfather, and I am stuck on finding out who his (Denis's) parents were and where they were married. My handwritten family tree says James Reardon and Ellen O'Connell, but I can find no record of this at all. I do have a James Reardon married to a Mary/May surname unknown, and James being the father of Denis, Jeremiah etc., but nothing further. Have you had any luck?

I am looking for Patrick REARDON born about 1833 in Cork, Ireland. By 1861 he was a widower and sailing as a ships carpenter on the “SS Bittern” out of Cork. By 1866 he had married his second wife Honora NEVILLE possibly from Limerick and was employed as a shipwright in the shipyards around Blackwall and Poplar in the East End of London where he worked until his death in 1879. Honora REARDON died in 1921.
I would like to contact anybody who has any information on Patrick REARDON from Cork, his first unknown wife, his second wife Honora NEVILLE, where they were both born, their families and siblings.

I appreciate the information in your post as David Reardon and Susan Bickett are my great grandparents also. According to the Graves family history Susan Bickett Reardon died in Idaho Falls, ID June, 27, 1914; you can search the following link: http://www.gravesfa.org/gen096.htm.

My Reardon relatives always said David Reardon was from County Cork, Ireland.

I have been trying to work out my family tree and in it there is an Edward Albert Triffett - his daughter Nellie Melba Triffett was my grandmother. I have this information on my grandparent's marriage certificate. The disrepancies I have with your info is that he was married to Elizabeth Rawbuson, and was still alive in 1921.

Cora Crouse Reardon is buried in Thomaston with 3 of her children. Strangely enough I do not find a gravesite for her husband Timothy Reardon. Cora had a bunch of siblings including a twin sister. When I get a chance I will go to the Maine State Archives and look in the cemetary records & death certificates. Do you know what year William died? you can email me pcondon48@yahoo.com
