Researching the Reigate family originally from Caterham,Surrey.My father was Charles Anthony Reigate 1942-1992,grandparents Charles R Reigate abt 1882-1959 and May Bedford Reigate (nee Welling),ggrandparents William Reigate and Mary A Reigate.

William Reigate/Reygate married Rebecca Collins in Caterham in 1805. They had 7 children but no Charles.They farmed in Banstead until the death of William in 1854
My line is
Robert Reygate born Caterham 1811
Richard Charles Reygate born Banstead 1851
Charles Thomas Reygate born Greenwich 1877
Do you know where your Charles was born and who his father was? All the Reigates from this area seem to be related.

hi my father was charles reigate born in caterham surrey, my g grandfather was charles richard reigate and possible my g g grandfather was william reigate.Am struggling with dates at moment. If there is any connection please let me know!

My g.g.g.grandfather was William Reigate.On 1841 census he is living in Banstead,Surrey.He married Rebecca Collins 1805 inCaterham,Surrey.Is there any connection to you?

REIGATE FAMILY FROM GUILFORD ENGLAND

looking for information on Annie Emily Reigate from Guildford Surrey. In 1896 she lived at 2 Markenfield Road, Guildford, was a dressmaker and had three children, Irena Adarie Marie [my maternal grandmother born at the above address on August 2, 1996], Bert or Albert and George. Either Bert or George had two daughters, Dorrie and Brenda. Dorrie had two children, Peter and Diana, and Brenda had two children Stephan and Nicholas.

Irena emmigated to Canada sometime in the early 1900's and married Lorne Alexander Gamble from Deseronto, Ontario and they lived at Belleville, Ontario.

Annie may have been born May 18, 1873 at Stoke parents George and Hannah [unconfirmed]
