Rists in Germany

I have had wonderful success with the emigration record for Joseph Rist in Wiesertsweiler Germany, and in ordering microfilms to search for more relatives. Joseph Rists father was Innozenz Rist and Genovefa Baumann, and have found the names of many siblings. My question is this - does anyone know when Laimnau records will be placed on familysearch.org?
I'm getting absolutely no green leaves on my new names. I know they are correct, but am curious as to why I'm not getting any information about my German heritage as I had lots of leaves on my tree for England and Canada.

General Lafayette Rist born 8-16-1883 was my grandfather.
He married Stella Cathline Heusser on 9-3-1913. They had 5 children: Ada Leona Rist 1914-1981, Evelyn Frances Rist 1915-1935, Henry Louis Rist 1919-2008, General Leland Rist 1918-2010, and my father Clifton Raymond Rist 1923-2004. I am just beginning this search and don't have alot of info. but I hope this helps! How are you related to the Rist family?

There are two newspaper articles: Canton Register Volume 9, on page 135 and in the London Times (London Mill, Illinois newspaper)Volume One page 41 on the Rist family.
Also, am confused as to Jacob Rist (were there two Jacob Rists?) Did Jacob and Mary E. Orbin have 13 children with birthdates from 1816 to 1844 (sounds unlikely). I have John Henry Rist born 10 Nov 1816 clear down to a George W. rist born in 1844 in Illinois. Did he have two wives?

I would like more information on your line of Rists, starting with General Lafayette and his wife and family clear down to you! Mary Jo

I have my great great grandfathers emigration record from Wurtemberg Germany in 1870. He came to Pennsylvania first, and then on to Canada in 1877 and married my great great grandmother the following year. I have lots of information on him once he arrives. But none before he came except this emigration record.
I'm having trouble reading the German script of the record, and was looking for help. I've tried to attach it here, but with no luck. There is a fathers' name which I can't read, and a name for a 'nurse'...but a blank spot listed for mother. I'm wondering mostly if the record shows he is an orphan. If it does, then where do I go from here? Are there orphanages in that part of Germany that would still have records of orphans there?
Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

Valerie

John Rist of the Bullskin 1790
I wish I could find someone who knows something about John and Jane (Strickler) Rist from Uniontown, Pa. I have one document that Jane was buried in 1810 on the family
farm north of Connellsville, Pa with her son John who died in 1833. Supposedly they no longer have stones. John remarried to a Christina Strickler and had several more children. They aren't any relation I guess to the Rist's at Broadford, but Henry Rist was the protector for Joesph Sherrick Rist and his older brother Martin for a short time before he died in 1846.
If anyone has any information, please contact.

I have a lot of information on the Rist line you are referencing. My great-grandmother was Caroline Elizabeth Rist (1877-1945). Her brother was Frank Almond Rist (1867 - ? ). They were both born in Wisconsin to Charles Almond Rist and Phebe Ann Miles. There were six children in the family. Charles Almond Rist (1841-1909) was born in New York and died in North Dakota. His father was Silas Bowen Rist (1812 - 1897).

The information on Nicholas Rist having his wife imprisoned for witchcraft is incorrect. She was indeed imprisoned, but by the accusations of some others. Nicholas petitioned a judge to have his wife released. His plea for his 72 year old wife is quite touching.

A Google search on "Nicholas Rist" will turn up these documents.

Rist, Joesph and Sarah Garver
Haven't made a note for a long time. Still trying to figure out what my great-great grandfather's name was. Too many people with the same name.
My great grandmother was Sarah Garver from the Dunbar township between Uniontown and Connelsville. She married my great grandfather Joesph Samuel Rist. Joesph and his little brother Martin were born there, married and moved away.
Their mother's name was Sarah Rist. Her husband died about 1841. The two boys even though they were with their mother were wards of the orphans court as was the custom of the day. A Shallenberger was the overseer for a time then Henry Rist stepped in and took over.
Sarah remarried to Alexander Hamilton Stewart and they had more children. Many didn't live to maturity.
Martin and his brother Joesph argued about religion in about 1870 and Joesph added an "e" to Rist. I have documents to share.
Please help, there were several families in the same area with the same names which makes it even more complicated.
Thank you for any help....., Vikki
I have been trying to find out any information on the Scandrol family from Allegheny county PA for some time and it seems like you may have some. I tried to find out how to contact you by the regular method on Ancestry however, it wouldn't allow me to do so.
Clyde Rist

I have a Clyde Rist in my family born 1891, married to Florence Jenness 1909 and he had 2 sons, Clyde jr was one. Clyde Sr took off and left his family whereas the younger son died of malnutrition. No one knows where he went. Could this Clyde be related to you, maybe a second family for him? I know this story doesn't make him out to be a very good guy, but we got to meet his son in 1997 and he never knew his father. I'm just curious. Thanks, Kathy Rist Barnes kab409@yahoo.com

George Rist

I am looking for the older brother of my Grandfather, Dewey Rist from Connellsville, PA. The info I have so far is: George was the son of George Thomas and Hannah Williams. He married Florence Simonds and had 2 children Austin Simonds Rist and Marjorie Rist. He worked and died building the Erie Canal. He was from Connellsville, PA. I located his younger brother Ray Rist in Girard, PA since 1995 and we keep in contact. I would like to complete my Grandfather's family tree. Please help, email me at kab409@yahoo.com. Thanks, Kathy Rist Barnes
