Hi! my name is Chrissie M, Roa i live in Woodland Ca.just like you looking for familia on line. My Dad was Cresencio Perez Roa. My Grand mother was Natalia Perez Roa. Her husband was Refugio Arivalo Roa.(Arivalo is what his death certificate says.)my grand father was born in 11/01/1895 past away in 01/15/1944 at age 48yrs in Fresno,CA.Cancer of tonsil.When i saw La piedad and Penjamillo Michoacan. my father talked to me alot about this. so i hope that you mite be family. My Tio's are as fallows.Agustin Perez Roa,then my dad,Pedro Perez Roa,Refugio Perez Roa.It looks like my grandfather had another family not sure,1930 census.with an maria and two boys.let me know if any thing here rings a bell. thank you ow also it looks like he came into the us on May 3,1916,and i think his brother Jose Roa.I think that Florencio Roa was there father.look like the last known residence was Abasole,GTO,Mexico.

Hello- I am researching the family Roa in Dominican Republic. All I found is that Martin de Rueda (which turned to Roa) arrived in 1534 to Santo Domingo. We have a coat of arms from Spain that has 6 wheels. The name Roa literally means wheel. My family starts in Elias Pena, DR.

hey Gabriel I think we are related, My dads name was cresencio perez roa, he had many brothers, Pedro roa, refugio roa, and Maria , Camarino, Lawrence, I think some of them where Cuevas (last name) I remember meeting Pedro Roa when I was younger, we live near sacramento ca. My last name is Roa as well and i am told it comes from Spain. I great grandfather was from spain. I do know that there is a city in Spain named Roa. Maybe that can help you out. Hello My last name is Roa as well. I live in Pasadena CA and my family comes form Leon Guanajuato Mexico.I get my last name from my father Jose Ricardo Roa. His parents where Raul Roa and Irene. They where also from Leon. I have heard and read that the name Roa comes from Spain. My great grandfather is from Spain from what i am told. I know there is a city in Spain named Roa. Hello, my husband's last name is Roa. From his mother's side. They are from Taretan, Michoacan. Near Urapan. We now live in Stockton, CA. He and his sister looks like Filipinos. With slanted eyes and high cheekbones. I am Cambodian, so when we are together, other Mexicans can not tell that my husband is Mexican. I've always wanted to know where the origin of that name is from. There is a famous actress in the Philippines that is named Boots Anson Roa. So...who knows??????

well i was born in chicago, but my dad was born in penjamillo to anita and pedro roa. he is one out of ten: maria, gonzalo, rosa, esperansa, licho, ruben, sergio, juan, virgina. my parents still live in chicago. as for me, i go back and forth from chicago and new york because of school.

The last name Roa is from my fathers side. He was born and raised in a small town called Penjamillo Michoacan, Mexico near La Piedad to Pedro Roa and Anita Jarramillo. We now live in Chicago. The only thing i ever heard about the last name is that it is Portugues. When ive visited that part of Mexico all the people with the last name Roa were related to me in some way or another. some of family now reside in Dallas, Tx San Fransisco, CA and Chicago, IL

I have twice responded to your inquiry about your maternal grandmother. To date there have not been any further postings by you. Therefore, I am not sure if you read the info I sent you. My youngest sister Delores is very interested in knowing what has become of her brothers and sister--Johnny, Gerald and Rachel. As a young girl your Aunt Delores was responsible in caring for your mother and uncles. Unfortunately after a terrible beating by your grandfather she contacted her sisters in San Bernardino and asked to be rescued. She was in the 10th grade. We came took her away and were responsible for her welfare till she finished school and went into the workforce. But she had never forgotten her other sister and brothers.
Looking forward to hearing from you and my Texas family.

My grandfather ADRIAN ROA was originally from Spain but met my grandmother in Mexico City, which brought about my mother SOLEDAD ROA. I'm just wondering if perhaps anyone recognizes these names or has any leads on the name and it's origin. Just wondering and being curious.

I just talked to John and Tina Roa tonight and I am a very good friend of Raynee's, I am going to have them get together in the morning over the phone so they can let each other know how they are doing. I saw your ROA's are from México City. My Great-grandmother Trinidad ROA was from México City too. Her father was Loreto ROA. I guess my Great-grandmother born around 1885-1895.

She was married first to John CONSTABLE, then to Frank-Percival McDONALD.

Trinidad parents are Vicenta and Loreto ROA.

Lupe you are my niece! You have found the missing links in your life. My mother was Alicia Roa Rojas Nunez Chagolla Gonzales Covarrubias. Yes your grandfather Johnny was my step-father. You have four aunts still living by my mother's first marriage to my father. The first born child was a son who died at the age of six months and my sister Rosalie drowned at the age of 25. I have memories of my siblings Rachel, Johnny, and Gerald. I was especially fond of Gerald because it was my responsiblity to care for him due to Mom having him by cesarean section. I had to miss a lot of school to be their caregiver.
My mother was born on May 24, 1928 and passed away on September 17, 1986 in San Bernardino, CA. She was the daughter of Ramon Roa and Maria Nunez Rojas of Mexico. Our maternal grandmother was Maria Nunez Rojas Roa Arias. She was born in Mexico, not sure where, Guadalajara? on May 03, 1897 and passed away at the age of 87 on November 30, 1984 in San Bernardino, CA.
It is so ironic to come across your search. I have been writing a thesis for my college creative writing class on my Abuelita Maria. Just felt a need to add a bit more and was in hopes of being able to locate where she originated from since all records just note Mexico. Lo and behold I open up your communique and read about my lost family members. I live on an island in the Pacific Northwest, Washington state.

My Great Grandfather in Mexico City(San Angel, Tizapan)
was named Valentin Roa-Vega. I've had a great deal of difficulty finding any information on
the name Roa until I began to check the Sephardic Genealogy sites. The name Roa is listed on
the `Contents of 1031 Kettubot from the Sephardic Portuguese community (Grana or Leghorn Jews) of Tunis.
