Ernie Ernest was born 1887 in Colton, Calif. His father was Julio trejo and mother was Francisca Zamora. They were from Chihuahua , Mexico. Im sorry, but I know yours is a different trejo family. I think a historian Paul Edgar Trejo wrote an article about the family you stated. I wish you the best in your search.

My grandmother's father (Jose Rocha) was born in Arco da Calheta, Madeira Portugal, and traveled to Hawaii in 1886 at 18 months old with his parents, Antonio Rodrigues Rocha and Claudina de Jesus.

I started researching my family tree we can't get further than my grandfather, Martin Rocha, because he ran away from home at a young age all we know is one sister name Hermina. What struck me about your post is that today we were talking about how my Grandfather was Italian not Hispanic as I always believed. The earliest I can trace is that in 1930 at 17 (after he left home) he was in Duval,Tx.

My grandmother was a Fernandes, born in US. Her mother, Maria Rocha, was from Brazil (both her parents were as well) migrated abt 1902 to New Bedford, MA. She married Manuel Antone Fernandes abt 1905; he was from the Azores. They had 6 kids. Their 3rd child was the only one born outside US (Frances Fernandes in 1911). Not sure if we can help each other, but I am in contact with a 3rd cousin research Fernandes family and I'm trying to research my Brazilian ancestry.

My grandfather's family came from Madeira (Figueira/Santos)

I am looking for my great-grandmother's (Maria) family of Rocha. She migrated from Brazil in 1902 at abt 14. She married Manuel Antone Fernandes from Azores abt 1905 and they lived in New Bedford. I am having trouble locating her immigration record so I don't know if she came with her parents (assuming she did), I don't know if there were any siblings.

Marcos, not that this helps, but I am looking for my maternal great-grandmother's family from Brazil. Her name was Maria Rocha born abt 1888 in Brazil, possibly Rio de Janeiro. Her parents were also from Brazil. She migrated to the US abt 1902 (age 14) and married Manuel Antone Fernandes abt 1905; he was from the Azores. They both lived in New Bedford, Massachusetts. They had 6 children (5 girls and 1 boy). All but one (3rd child) was born in the US. Frances was born 1911 in the Azores. I am having a heck of time finding her immigration information so it is difficult for me to track her parents, therefore the rest of the family. Any assistance is appreciated.

In search for the rest of the Rocha's

I need to find the rest of the Rocha's but first so you can understand better I have to tell you a story.I don't know a lot of the story but I hope it helps. Claudio Rocha married to Josefina don't know what year neither her last name. They had 8 or 10 kids. Claudio was an alcoholic he never did a thing for his family. Instead, Josefina worked to maintain her kids she even raised them. She suffered a lot he beat her even the kids. He also had affairs. And from those affairs babies were born. Of course he didn't stayed with them most of his lost kids don't even know him. Josefina and Claudio are my great grandparents. Claudio passed away about 3 to 5 years ago. He died in San Diego California. Josefina still lives she's 82 and lives in San Diego. I'm looking for his lost kids, for any family of Claudio, Do you know who Claudio's parents are? From where he comes? Josefina's and Claudio's kids well they are not that young they are all around 50's to 60's they carry the last name Rocha but actually they know none of the Rocha. Most of them live in San diego, Imperial valley, and one named david rocha is somewhere in the united states don't know where. If this story sounds familiar please talk to me. I need some answers. Thank you.

Yes she did know a Felipa and a Cruz but not sure about Martine. Sista married my grandpa and his name was Pedro Rocha they lived in the Oklahoma area for as long as I can remember... Please let me know if this at all rings a bell. I know that we have family in Tulia TX from my grandpas side. Sista and Pedro had 4 sons..Guadalupe (lupe) Mateo Soto Rocha

My fathers family, is surnamed Rocha. My grandfather was born and raised in Huitchtepec, Mexico. Ive been to Huitche (nickname) and found many Rochas buried there. As well as living Roch relatives.

I don't know a lot about the Rocha's but would like to. If the Ernest Trejo (1904 - 1993) is the Ernest Trejo you mention in your message. I must be your relative as Ernest Trejo is my uncle. I have Tibo "Santos" Trejo 1878-1943 and Clotilda Garner (1877-1918) married Dec 3, 1899 at California Mission San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County, California as Ernest, Albert A, Peter(1901-1902),Josephine, Rosana, Abraham Lincoln(Feb 12,1915 living, Isreal, Daniel and my father Alfred A. Trejo (1903-1970).

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa -- Pedro O. Rocha, 76, died Wednesday Dec. 12, 2001, at his home in West Liberty following an extended illness.

Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. The Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rocha was born on Jan. 31, 1925, in Gary, Ind., the son of Juan and Gavina Ortez Rocha. He was united in marriage to Aquilina Castro on April 1, 1949, in Mexico.

He had been employed with Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty for several years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty.

He is survived by his wife Aquilina Rocha of West Liberty; a daughter, Maria and her husband, Donaciano Sanchez of West Liberty; sons, Alvaro and his wife, Fidencia Rocha of West Liberty, Pedro and his wife, Maricela Rocha, Miguel and his wife, Delores Rocha of West Liberty, Federico and his wife, Beverly Rocha of Atlanta, Ga., Javier Rocha of West Liberty and Rolando Rocha of West Liberty; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-granchildren; sister: Consuelo Esquibel of Del Rio, Texas; brothers, Juan Rocha and Enrique Rocha both of West Liberty.

Mrs. Rochau was born on March 12, 1901, in Scott County, the daughter of Julius and Minnie Arp Kuelper. She married Herbert F. Rochau on Feb. 6, 1923, in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1972.

She and her husband farmed in Scott County for 25 years before building and operating the Bronze Latern Motel in Davenport, until retirement.

She was a member of the Northwest Turners, Liedertaufel and the Women of the Moose as well as many card clubs. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards with family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Meyer and her husband, Leo, of Davenport and Mardelle Harms and her husband, Fred, of Prescott Valley, Ariz; two granddaughters, Marcia Golinghorst and her husband, Bob, of Walcott and Teresa Dennis and her husband, James, of Potomac Falls, Va.; a grandson, Todd Harms of Tucson, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a granddaughter, Michelle Meyer.

My name is Luisa Ann Rocha, I was born to Andrea Rocha And Louis David Rocha back in Dec. 6 1971, ya it's been a while and I know I have lots of half brother's and sister's that I don't know, I would like to have some kind of commmunication with my blood since my father has past since 1980 and there's no way I can keep in touch with who I am related to.. So if your mother knew a man by the name of Louis David Rocha send me a message and I can ask you a few questions to see if we are related... I was told I had around 30 siblings but I can't confirm that. My father was a very handsome man and was in the army so he traveled a lot....I meet about five of my brothers when I was younger at his funeral and a couple of sisters but I can't remeber them....
Also if you are my relative by blood like aunt,uncles, cousins please reply to my message.. Seeking to find my ancestors I have many kids and grandkids who need to know where they have family at...
