Between NICHOLAS ROCHESTER of the Parish of Cople and County of Westmoreland of the one part and WM ROCHESTER son heir apparent of the aforesaid NICHOLAS of the other part. I have been trying to look up my family tree. My Father was from the Nicholas branch. His name was curan Rochester. His sister was Zura Rochester and we went to see her and Uncle Sam when I was a kid. They lived in Eugene Oregon at the time.
His Father was Fernando Rochester and his grandfather was Daniel L Rochester.
My father was raised in NC

I am looking for any decendants of my great,great grandfather, Jacob (Jake) Rochester who lived in Anderson County, South Carolina. He was born about 1810 and was married to Mary Rochester. They had seven (7) children but we are only familiar with the names of five (5), Thomas, Warren, Harriett, Cyphus, and Harrison.

We are having a family reunion in August of this year and would like to make contact with other relatives who we know are out there but have had not contact with since we started this effort in the 1970's.

I would like to exchange more information with you regarding the Rochester family. I visited the Bangs Cemetery, Bangs,TX in 2009 to visit the grave sites of my family line-Schulze. I didn't realize then that all those Rochesters' grave markers that I saw are descendents of my grgr grandfather, Reuben S Rochester including Augustus S Rochester. There are 10 grave markers.

No. I do not have it posted or any photos posted. I do not have a genealogy tree on Ancestry.com. I pledged to myself that I would not post any trees until I knew that I had factual info in what I state is actually, factually, true!

The photo I have is of 5 adults and 2 younger children, that would be Augustus Samuel's in-laws. Two of the adults in that photo could be Augustus and his wife. I wanted a known photo of Augustus to compare with this one, to see if they are indeed Augustus Samuel and his wife as young adults or maybe even newlyweds. The time period of my photo must be around 1890 by my calculations.

Sorry I could not be of any help. I tie in with the Augustus Samuel Rochester family. I am always excited to break down a brick wall and I hope I have with this family.

My grgr grandfather, Reuben S Rochester, and father to your grandfather Augustus Samuel Rochester, started a new family in Kennedale,TX (Tarrant CO)in the 1880's. Mary Elizabeth was a daughter to Reuben and born in 1887. She was my gr grandmother. We are not sure when Reuben divorced Mary, mother of Augustus Samuel Rochester, and remarried. Can you fill in any of the missing links and info about Reuben S Rochester?

Hello, I am the great-great -great granddaughter of John Rochester in Logan, Ohio. John Rochester was a merchant in the town of Logan, Ohio. He was a very successful man. His first wife died due to a fire and he remarried a lady with the last name of Bowen. There is a house in Logan, Ohio called the "Bowen House" that is used today for various community functions. He had several children. One child was in the Civil War and died in the battle of Chickamauga. John had one of his other son, travel to Tennessee to retrieve his sons remains and bring him back to the town of Logan, Ohio, where he was put to rest. During this time this was almost unheard of.

The Samuel Rochester that you speak of that died in Oak Harbor, Ohio is my great-great grandfather. He did come from New York state. He had a son Samuel, who had a son Silus, who had a son James who is my father. This original Samuel has a living grandson by the Name of Norman Rochester. Norman's father was August Rochester ( one of Samuel's and Meriah Perry's children) from Oak Harbor, PA. Norman recounts that "Old Sam" and several of his family came to the Oak Harbor area in the 1800's from New York state. After several years, some of them returned back to New York, but old Sam stayed and settled in the Oak Harbor Ohio area. My father Jim Rochester of Fostoria Ohio has recently been in contact with Norman (who is in a nursing home) and has been recording his oral history. Much of the trail for this family seems to die out with old Sam and Mariah in Oak Harbor.

I have the same information, that he died in about 1900. The 1900 census lists him in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. He is not listed in the Arlington Cemetery found online on the Arlington Public Library's genealogy page. I'd like to exchange information with you. Our family came from around Newcastle and my husband's g/grandfather moved to Western Australia in 1911. I have a lot of info about them in Australia and some from in England. G/Gfather's name was Allen or Allan Rochester born Newcastle on Tyne in 1828.

Many thanks for the prompt reply! Unfortunately I cannot contact you directly as i only have guest status to Ancestry. The names Richard and Sarah seem familiar to me but as I am writing this without my research in front of me I cannot be sure! I will check this out and come back to you but feel sure we are related, but I would be interested to see your line back to Richard and Sarah if that is possible? I know we definitely have a Richard Rochester and Jane Finch in our tree, perhaps you do too? I think from memory Richard was son of Richard?

I now have my Rochester line back to Richard Rochester born circa 1765, probably in Enfield/Shoreditch area and married to Sarah Waller born circa 1765 (there are 2 or 3 Sarah Waller's born in Enfield/Shoreditch area at that time and not sure which one is the correct one). They had a large number of children all born in Enfield/Shoreditch area.
