I have Tom Roebuck marrying Fanny Kemp ,Toms dad is Vincent Roebuck 1831-1886Hepworth,mum Francis Leeman1833-1903 .They have 6 children ,John Frank 1855 ,William Henry 1858, Tom 1861,Ellen Elizabeth 1863 ,Lucy 1866 and Polly 1871.
Vincents ,dad is Francis 1787,mum is Elizabeth Marsh 1798,4 children ,Vincent,Charles 1825,Francis 1825,Henry 1834.
Francis dad is George Roebuck born 1754 my fifth great grandad,his wife was Martha Barber 1758 . I have lots more info if you are interested i have sent you an invite .Linda

I just found out that johns parents are thomas roebuck and fanny kemp there kids are mary 1880 died 1881 george henry born 1881 arthur born 1882 ethel 1886 john henry born 1887 my great grandfather albert born 1893 died 1905 I also found out that thomas roebucks father is john h roebuck 64 in the 1891 census all born in rawmarsh,rotherham but arthur who was born in swinton and fanny born in swinton if any of these names sound good to anyone let me know by 1911 everyone has left the house and only thomas and fanny still there John henry roebuck was already in glace bay and married nov 22 1911 I have the nova scotia roebucks done so just need the england not sure if anyone moved to the usa or not any help would be great email me at dianneedmondson@hotmail.ca

I just found out that my great grandfather john henry roebuck came from rotherham i thought his parents names were thomas and tammie but found out it could be fanny can anyone help me John Henry Roebuck moved to nova scotia and got married to kate willett and had 8 kids all born in glace bay but 1 his name is leslie Roebuk

Check out the site " Robert Roebuck/ Robucke Ancestry "
it is a site developed by a cousin of mine and traces Roebucks from Thomas Roebuck from 1490 in Yorkshire, England down to Roebucks in Virginia in the 1700,s. After that you have to follow it down to your branch. We have ours all the way to the present. Good luck !

I am also related to George Roebuck through my father's side of the family. George's son John had a son, John (Jack) who had a son, Kelroy, who was my Great Grandmother's father. I am interested in the family history as I am joining the DAR and need as much info on the family that I can get.

My great uncle was murdered by poisoning in 1917, Grady Williams ( sometimes referred to as Drake) pled guilty and was sentenced to life in prison. Does anyone know what prison he was sent to ? The murder occurred in Bannister, San Augustine County, Texas but the trial was in Nacogdoches, TX. I would like to know if he served his term and where.

I am hopeing someone may have information on this family:
I need help finding marriage and death records, and dates of birth and death for the following persons Hiram Roberson, born in Arkansas about 1850 died in Choctaw County, Oklahoma in 1903 lived in the areas of Goodland, Oberlin, Bluff and Soper he married Hattie (also known as Hettie, Heather,) Leatherman in about 1879 she was born after July 186o in Milam County, Texas Died in 1903 Choctaw County, Oklahoma. They are buried in the Spring family Cemetary in Hugo, Oklahoma.They may have children buried in or around Bluff, or Oberlin cemetaries near the Roebuck place.

Their neighbors was John, Buster and Nellie Combs,the Springs,Edges and the Roebucks, I have been unable to find this family on any census records after 1870.

Their childrens names that we have are Gussie, L.D., James Burl, Obedia, MInnie, and Lydia. L.D. Or Lazarus David went to the Goodland School as did James Burl. I believe the other children went to the Spring School, and or in Oberlin, Bluff or Soper.

Hi my name is Lisa Roebuck. My grandfather was John Arthur. Heaps of great grandfathers ago was John Roebuck (1807-1867) married Hannah Heginbottom. They lived at Mushroom Hall in Sheffield. Are these the Roebucks you are after. They had 7 kids, John (died 2 yrs) Mary Ann, Annie Maria, John Thomas (my great etc grandfather) Sara Jane, Clara and Albert???

My wife is Susan Roebuck and she was born in Holmfirth. Her family (Roebucks) came from around this area, Wooldale/Netherthong/Upperthong/Honley.
I have only got back as far as her 4th great granfather John Roebuck who was born in 1780 and died 2 Jul 1835 in Netherthong.
It would be good to find connections.

Humphrey ROBUCK married Susanna MORTON on 28 June 1668 at Kirkburton. I think he may be Humfray born 1644.

I do have photographs of Jonathan and Matilda and I've been doing some more 'digging'. Lidia WILSON who married John ROBUCK was buried (as Lydia Robuck) at Kirkburton on 3 June 1711. I wondered about this when you said they had had children over a preiod of nearly 30 years. After Lydia's death John BEEVER was born to Hannah BEEVER and John ROBUCK. Then he must have married again and produced 7 children more includng Jonathan wh married an Olive BEEVER.

So we are not directly descended from Lidia WILSON.

Ralphs brother Joseph born 1833 married Mary Shore who had 6 children one being Fountain born 1860 who married Mary Ann Ward they had 11 children one being MaryAnn[polly]she is my gg grandma .would it be okay if i spoke to you through my e-mail adress as we are related?

Iam so pleased that you have replied,i have Humphrey marrying Ann Hirst in 1630,there is Alice who was born 1627 but i am not possitive that she is their child.
Then i have John born 1630,Elizabeth 1640,John 1645 and Martha 1647.I do not have Humfrey or the male child do you have any more info on these two.
The John above born 1630 i dont know who he married but his children where John junior 1675 who married Lydia Wilson they had 11 children,Mary born 1682-1697,and Elizabeth born 1673-1676.

yes i have Roger and Jane being the parents of Humphrey,and Sarah born 1607 and another born 1610 but no name.

Rogers dad was John born 1550 who had 7 children one being Roger,i have info on the others if you would like it.
Johns dad was George born 1520 he had 5 children which i can also give you if you would like.
Iknow you have shared information with my dad in the past he is from Fountain Roebucks line.

I have not been able, with certainty, to find the parentage of Dorothy ROEBUCK who married Josua BROADHEAD as his second wife. The best match I have is a Dorothea ROEBUCK born to George ROEBUCK of Huddersfield in 1622. Dorothy (BROADHEAD) died, a Quaker, in 1670 and is buried at Wooldale but when she became a Quaker I do not know.

I have been off line for a while so apologies for not replying earlier.

Ralph ROEBUCK and Mary Lydia BROADHEAD are my great grandparents. I regret I have no photographs of either.

Thank you Linda for all your information taking the line back to Humphrey who married Ann HIRST. I think Humphrey's father may be Roger ROEBUCK who married Jane CHARLESWORTH in 1606, son Humphrey being born in 1608. That's as far back as I have gone.

There are a few gaps in Kikrburton and Almondbury Registers which I have studied and I have a few queries that I don't know whether you can answer.

I can't find any children born to Humphrey and Ann (HIRST) between 1630 and 1640. Then I have Elizabeth (1640), a male child (1642), Humfrey (1644) and Martha (1647). Neither can I find John's baptism.

Do you know who John (son of Humphrey) married?

Can you help me with a date for the marriage of John ROEBUCK and Mary SMITH?

The rest looks fine and tallies with what I have. I only have three children for John ROEBUCk and Lidia WILSON.

Please let me know if I am on the wrong track.

I can confirm your information about the children of Jonathan ROEBUCK and Matilda MUXLOW. I am the daughter of son David who married Winifred MULLIGAN.

Ihave connected the family also to broadheads through dorothy roebuck and joshua broadhead,do you know who dorothys family are i think she has a sister mary born 1648.
Dorothy died in 1670,i have lots more information on this family line right up to mary lidia broadhead who married ralph.
