He moved to Santiago de Cuba, Oriente, Cuba with his mother, Regina Reina, where he married my great grandmother. I know Rojas is a pretty widespread surname throughout Latin America but any help will be appreciated.

I have family with Pleitez and Quintanilla last names from El Salvador. Mostly from El Congo and Cuida Arce area. My great grand-father was Pedro Antonio Pleitez Padilla and I have some cousins with Quintanilla last names but I have to get more info to see who their grandfather was. If this helps you any let me know and maybe we can see if we are related or not.

Hi, my paternal grandparents are Heraclio Rojas Pardo and Adela Perez. I have an uncle named Julio Rojas.

Heraclio Rojas Pardo was born in Bogota Colombia and lived and married in Panama (married my grandmother Adela Perez in Panama)

Sorry but "Rojas" is an "extremely" small branch that married into my tree and I am not doing extensive research on, therefore, I do not have any informaton for you.

Hello... My name is Julie and my grandmother, Dolores (on my father's side) had a brother who moved from New York to Puerto Rico in the 40s. He spent the rest of his life there with children and grandchildren. My great uncle's name was Ricardo or Richard Rojas. I know there is a Carmen and a Georgie and another Julie in the family there... but have not made contact in many many years. Are you part of this Rojas family? I have some info on the famiy history and willing to share....

I'm not sure if this helps or not?
I'm a Rojas, my dad is Heraclio Rojas he was born in Panama, but his parents were from Colombia, South America.
My dad told me of a cousin of his that moved to the US in the early 1930's or so.
He was some kind of railroad employee or investor.
The thing is that his cousin died young from the flu.
At that time, the railroad company was trying to locate his family in Panama to claim some kind of life insurance or something related to the "rail road"
I don't have much information just that I had a distant family member from my dad's side that did come to the US early in the 1930's or so, worked for the railroad or invested and died young from the flu.

My dad is Rojas, I'm a Rojas.
He told me also a story of his ancestors who was a count
"Conde De las Casas" somewhere in Spain, I believe he said
Gijon/Jijon Spain.
Not sure if related to yours? But it's very similar.

I really hope you can understand this. My name is Victor Ferdinand Rojas, I am a 49 year old American of Filipino descent. I was born in Manila in 1960 to Renato deLeon Rojas (father) and Lydia Santuile Rojas (mother). My paternal grandparents' names are Jose Rojas and Olympia deLeon Rojas, both originally from Nueva Ecija, Philippines. An unsubstantiated rumor within my father's family states that we have an ancestor who may have been a Mexican or Spanish merchant, who came to the Philippines to seek his fortune via the Acapulco-Manila trade routes. Time is unknown.

Hello, my father is David Anthony Rojas and my mother is Virginia Rojas, they were married in February in Iowa and have lived there every since. I do know that my father did live in California for a very long time before he met my mother. We have an aunt that also lives in Iowa, that would be Martha Rojas-Pruitt. I have met Julie when I was younger, but I am not sure if I have ever met Flora.

I know it's been a while since you have posted, but hopefully you will get this and respond.

I have been seeking a man named Macedonio Rojas who married my grandmother when she was 16 or 17 years old in Eaglepass Texas, around 1928 or so. He was supposedly 35 years old at the time. He supposely left her and their 3 children around 1935 and sent back to mexico. It is said that he was a gambler and that he was shot. I have photo of Macedonio Rojas.

ADRIAN — Ruben Rojas Sr., age 77, of Adrian died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Tendercare of Adrian.
He was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Thrall, Texas, to Tomas and Lonjina (Nieto) Rojas. He had been employed by Ford Motor Company in Saline for 39 years. After his retirement from Ford Motor Company, Ruben traveled extensively throughout the continental United States, the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and Australia. He enjoyed listening to his Tejano music and attending Mexican dances.
Ruben is survived by a son, Stephen D. Rojas and his wife, Sonya, of Waterville, Ohio; two daughters, Margaret Tabb and her husband, Steve, of Ann Arbor and Lori Rojas of Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ruben Rojas Jr.; a brother, Benjamin Rojas; and a sister, Sara Navarro.
Funeral services for Ruben will be Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. At Ruben’s request, cremation will follow the services. His cremains will be scattered at a later date.

Melita is my youngest sister and she was right, this is Heraclio Rojas Uribe (3rd), my father is Heraclio Rojas Perez (2nd), my grandfather was Heraclio Rojas Pardo(Ist), married to Adela Perez de Rojas.
My oldest son is Heraclio Rojas Guardia (4th), Monica Rojas Guardia is my daugther and my youngest son is Juan Mauricio Rojas Guardia.
Actually, I met in Miami this week with my my aunts Flora Rojas (maiden) and Julie Rojas(maiden) together my my sister Jessica Rojas Uribe and cousin Gail Gaudry (Julie's daugther).
I figure out that there most be over 150 and descendants from Heraclio and Adela,

I am trying to determine if there is a relationship between Santos Rojas and Viviana Rojas of Dona Ana County, New Mexico. Santos Rojas was born in 1835 in Chihuahua, Mexico and by 1852 was residing in Santo Tomas, Dona Ana, NM. He married Martina Garcia in 1852 in Mesilla, NM. Viviana Rojas was born in 1832 in Mexico and by 1860 was residing in Mesilla, Dona Ana County, NM. She married Martin Trujillo around 1855 in Mesilla, NM. Santos is in and around Santo Tomas and Mesilla from 1860 to 1900 according to census reports, presumably until the time he died. Viviana is in the same area on the 1860 and 1870 census reports. If they are related perhaps I’ll be able to deduce who their parents were.

He was born on July 2, 1927 in Gleason, AZ to Jose G. and Alvina (nee Garcia) Rojas, Sr.

Together with his brother Paul Rojas he was Co-Owner of Rojas Truck & Tractor Clean-Up since 1968.

He is survived by his loving daughters Rosie Coronado and Dora Marquez; loving sons Daniel Rojas, Alex Rojas and Andy Rojas; 5 sisters Rosario, Rita, Mary, Ruth and Josie; 6 brothers Paul, Ray, Frank, Ysidro, Johnny and Vincente; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Carlos V. Rojas, died on April 18, 2005 at Sun Health Hospice Care Center. Carlos was born in Phoenix, AZ. in 1932. He retired from the Air Force with an Honorable discharge after serving 22 years.

Carlos was married to his wife, Janet for 40 years, whom he sadly lost just last month. Carlos and Janet met in Springfield, Mass. where he was enlisted into the service. They married and soon relocated to Phoenix, AZ where they had called their home since.

Carlos is survived by his sister, Dolores Valenzuela and his 3 daughters, Theresa Robles, Glendora Garcia and Georgianna Rodriguez.
