Hi Jeanette,

I don't have Frederick in my tree, only William b. 1810 Kenton, Devon, and Harriot b. 1811, Kenton. However, I'm sure there are other children, including your Frederick.

I am descended from John Rossiter & Elizabeth Pearce's eldest daughter, Sarah, born 1780 Kenton, Devon. She married a William (or possibly John) Satterley in Kenton in 1798.

I'm happy to keep in touch. You can contact me at familycontacts@spin.net.au

Regards,
Linda

Hi Linda

I have not traced the ancestors, as I have today just found John & Elizabeth! but I am pretty sure I am a descendant. I think I am descended from William, John and Elizabeths's eldest son who married Grace Carter, one of their sons Frederick emigrated to NZ. Perhaps we could keep in touch? I haven't yet verified the links but dates tie up.

Regards
Jeanette

Walter Rossiter went to USA from Co Wexford, Ireland.1830 - 1840.Possibly lived in NY.As far as I know he had one daughter Mary whose husband's surname was Redmond. Some of their children or grandchildren used the surname Rossiter - Redmond. Also the name Malone appears in some information i have. Can anyone make a connection ?.I'm fairly sure that some of the rossiter / redmond and redmond families became lawyers in brooklyn and other areas of new york, and are still practising there.

Hi Kevin.
Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I know this links. One such link is realized with the information of the Rossiter who came to Argentina, I have no doubt that information. The other information introduced by Merv Rossiter and the remainder was incorporated with data from my family in Argentina. However, I need to link with certainty the connection between William Rossiter (1781-1865) and James Rossiter (1752 -) and Judith Fortune. I appreciate your quick response again. Sincerel.
Hi Andres,
I have seen a lot of your online enquiries about this family and have collected a lot of information about it.

One of the best websites about this line is an Argentinian site here:-

http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&...

(You can also find more information at www.rossiter.net)

As far as I know, William who married Martha Green was the son of James Rossiter ( born 1752) and Judith Fortune.James was the son of Patrick Rossiter ( born 1691) and Margaret Bent.Patrick was the son of John Rossiter (born 1670) and Eleanor O'Connor.Unfortunately I do not have much information about them as the public records are quite poor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes, Kevin
Hi Kevin:

I see you have a lot of information of Rossiters. A few years ago started looking for information about my ancestors from the data that I had here in Argentina ggg.grandparent William Rossiter was born in 1781 (+ -) in Wexford, Ireland, married to Martha Green, also born in Ireland, parents James Rossiter, born in 1815, also in Wexford, the latter married Ellen Sinnott in 1840 with Irish-born daughter of Thomas and Mary Sinnott Bent (b 1780-1860). James and Ellen moved to Argentina around 1866.
Some search and information that I have provided me gently suggests who might be the parents of William Rossiter (1781-1865), an alternative pordría be (James Rossiter (1752 -?) And Judith Fortune, but could not reliably secure as there are dates that do not match for some years. I would like to know if your details could verify the information that I have much I appreciate what you can do. Andres Rossiter

I have his wife and 4 children ( Lionel,Dennis, Clifford, Gordon your Dad) but again I'm not sure if I have them all.

I have marriage partners for all of Gordon's 3 children but don't have marriage date or dates & places of birth of partners. Have no marriage date or place for Gordon & Muriel. Again I'm not sure how many children there are.

If you want to send info privately e-mail me at ymuseruk@yahoo.com.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please.
Nicholas Rossiter & Hannah Healey/Healy of Pittsburgh

On 15 April 1911, at the Pittsburgh Cathedral, Nicholas Rossiter and Hannah Healy were married.

From the brief research I've done, they lived in Pittsburgh for the rest of their lives. Nicholas apparently had a daughter, Nora, born before he left Ireland. Nora later lived with Nicholas and Hannah, along with her brother, Nicholas, Jr. (born 1915-16).

According to his naturalization papers, Nicholas was born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1883. The 1920 and 1930 Censuses have 1875-1876.

I have the original marriage certificate for Nicholas and Hannah, and it needs to be in the loving care of their relatives. Please contact me if you know how to get in touch with family members.

Direct e-mail: TNGeneWhiz@gmail.com

Dave: A
Have you turned up anything new on Geoff H Flavelle? I have been out of communication in the field of genealogy for about two years, but I am beginning again, and am always interested in this artist. I myself am a water colour artist on the west coast of Canada. My Flavelles came from County Armagh, Ireland. I do know that GH Flavelle's wife was a Rossiter and that possibly there is a Canadian connection. It is possible that he was a Mason. Anne

Hi, I'm a direct descendent of Dr. Bryan and Elizabeth Rossiter. My records state that Sir Edward Rossiter and his wife which I have seen recorded as either Elizabeth or Jane Coome, Coombe or Combe, had 6 children (all born in Somerset, England): Nicholas, b 1599; Dorothy, b 1608; Bryan (Bray) b 1610, d 1672; Jane, b 1614, Hugh, b 1615 and Joanne, b 1616. All but Dorothy came to the US with their father on the "Mary and John" in 1630. Both Nicholas and Bryan brought their wives. Nicholas most likely brought children. The wife of Sir Edward is not noted as having come to America, and it is presumed that she died prior to the voyage.

Looking for information about William D. Rossiter for my soldiers of Monroe County, NY project.

William was the son of William James Rossiter and, possibly, Jessie Crump Rossiter. He was born in New York in 1899, and William's three siblings were Alvin, Frank and Lois. William served in the military during World War I and was a charter member of American Legion Rayson-Miller Post 899 of Pittsford, NY.

In 1937, William married Hilda Fetterman. They lived in Fremont, Ohio. William D. Rossiter died in Cuyahoga, OH in 1958.

I'd be very interested in hearing from descendants of William and his siblings. Please leave a message on my Illuminated History blog, www.illumhistory.wordpress.com, or email me directly at vprofitt@rochester.rr.com.

Thanks for any assistance you can give me!

Vicki Profitt
