My grandmother's(Amelia Rubio Perez) parents were from Chihuahua and her parents were Annunciacion and Estanislada Rubio. She grew up in El Paso,TX with I think 12 brothers and sisters. They now are in the Monterey Peninsula.

How interesting I'm also researching family from La Laja, Jalisco, my Great Great Gransfather's name was Nepomuceno Rubio, amd his mother's wife's name was Beatriz Duenas, then my great grandfather's name was Atanacio Rubio, he married, Refugia(Mama Cuca) Ponce, and they had my grandmother Gregoria(Mama Goya) Rubio. I am looking for information on Pablo Rubio and Poinciana Rodriquez, both were killed by Indians about 1898 or 1899 in Pearce, Arizona. Their two daughters lived thru the attach Sally Rubio and Poinciana Rubio. They were taken in and raised by the Navarette family in Bowie AZ.
I also need the mother and father of Poinciana Rodriquez and where she was from.

I'm sorry for such a long delay to answer, I have not been on ancestry for a long, long time but the answer to your question is yes. We lived on Heberton Avenue and Ann street. My family also had a grocery store at that location. My father owned a locksmith business called Rubio locksmith.

I do have distant relatives from Arzano, Napoli Italia. There is one on facebook. His name is Domenico Rubio. My grandfather came from Arzano, Napoli. His name was Luigi Rubio

My grandfather was Crispin Rubio also. According to him, he was named after his father. My grandfather was a lot older than my grandmother. She was born in 1929, so I am assuming he was born in 1900's perhaps? I have a pic of him in his US army uniform which we just acquired. It was taken in 1944 in El Paso, TX. (We didn't know he served?) I always wondered if perhaps he lived a double-life? My grandpa was thin, light-haired/eyed with curly hair. He 'might' of died in the 1950's possibly early 60's.

Maybe late but I do know some Rubios, here in the city of Merida and Quintana Roo state, close. Jose and Laura, and Manuel. Joses family is from Merida and have something to do with France and a very interesting story. If you send your e mail I can give it to them.

My fathers name is Amador G Rubio and he is from Chihuahua, Mexico. His fathers name was Jesus Rubio, also from Chihuahua. I dont know much about my fathers family. he was born in 1930/1931. His father Jesus rubio died in 1974 or 75. My grandmothers name was Petronila Garcia (Maiden name) Rubio. If you have any info please write me back.

My great great grandfather was named Jose De La Luz Rubio, born around 1870. We don't have any info on his dad. He married and raised his children in Teocuitatlan de Corona, Jalisco, Mexico. This might be a link.

The "Rubio" Family (Spanish) in general settled originally in the southern Chihuahua areas and the extreme northern Durango areas. My "Rubio" Family (in the 1800's) was from Guadalupe y Calvo, but primarily from the town of Baborigame, a few miles to the north. They were all miners in silver, gold and other minerals. Most of the mines are still there, but very few are being worked. My other Family of "Tarin" is from Balleza, just a few miles east of Baborigame. They are all "French" from Napolians troops that remained behind. If you spend much time tracing the "Rubio" family name, you will find that no matter where in Mexico your "Rubio's" are from.....that, they all originally came from southern Chihuahua from the 1700 & 1800's period.

I know this was posted a while ago but I thought I might give it a shot. My grandfather was Jose Antonio Rubio-Villarreal he was from the State of Chihuahua (believe from the city of chihuahua). He passed away in 1984 and has a few living siblings and he lived in El Paso Texas.

Hello Suzan, My great grandmother was Maria Jesus Rubio from Aldama, Chihuahua. I know she had sons, Felipe, Braulio, Pedro and maybe a Seferino with last name either Rubio or Navarrete. I'm not sure about the last name, but its possible that at one time she was married to a Tomas Navarrete. Would any of these names be familiar to you or your family ! I have been searching their background for many, many years.

I am researching my mother's side of the family, but I don't have much information regarding them. All I know is my grandfather's name was Juan Nepouceno Rubio and my great-grandfather's name was Ventura Rubio and he was married to Maximiliana Rubio (Maiden name: Ponce). They are from a small town in Jalisco named La Laja. If anyone out there knows anything, it will be greatly appreciated!!

Carolina, I'm searching for Rubio relatives in Chihuahua. My great grandmother was from Aldama, Chi. Her name was Maria Jesus Rubio. She married a Jose Tomas Navarrete from Jimenez. I also know that Jesus had sons or perhaps brothers (I'm not sure which),named Felipe, Braulio, and Pedro. Jesus immigrated to Texas in the early 1900's. I am looking for my half sister I have recently found out about. I think her name is Maria and I believe her mother's name is now either Debbie Torres, Debbie Orellana, or Debbie Rubio. Her proper maiden name was Deborah Marie Troiano. My father is Carlos Casanova Zambrana but I have never met him. My dad wsa Juan Rubio and served in Vietnam during those times & my mom was pregnant w/my older brother at that time, but hes was medically discharged not deceased at the time. My dad died in Lubbock, TX in November 2000. He was a minister of Colgate Church of Christ for many years.
