I am trying to trace Daisy Rumble (Father John Rumble Provisions Merchant). She married Gustavus Hughes 18 Sep 1909 when she was 25 and Gus was 26 (both single previously). He was a Sergeant in the 1st Mountain Battery Royal Garrison Artillery in Sept 1909. His father was Alfred Hughes deceased at time of wedding. Her father John Rumble - Provision Merchant. Still alive at this time. . The witnesses were - hard to read - prob E Fordham and L Andrews.

I can only find Daisy on the 1911 census when she was with Gus in India and at her wedding. Besides that absolutely nothing! She was supposed to have been living at 35 The Hale Tottenham at the time of the wedding.

Any help to find Daisy would be extremely welcome!

I'm interested in Charles Rumble; wife, Mary Ann(?1860-). Their sons John, Frank, Fred, George and Thomas emigrated to Canada from England. Are they part of your English line? Any information about Charles and his famiy would be helpful. With thanks for your time....... ab

I would be really grateful if you could check your list for an Elizabeth Rumbolds baptised 1807 in Great Walsingham Norfolk. Her parents were Phillis (Darby) and Thomas Rumbolds. I have no dates for Thomas but I am assuming he died before 1810 when Phillis has another child by another Rumbolds man.

Elizabeth Rumbolds married a Benjamin Beeson of Wiggenhall St Germans. I have no date for the marriage but their first child was born in 1830.

Many thanks.

I don't know of his siblings or who he is connected to, but my Rumble ancestors came from East Ilsley in Berkshire, England. I might be wrong, but I don't think there is a place called Isley in Ireland as quoted in the passenger list to Ellis Island, so this makes me think he may have originated from East Ilsley in England, not Isley, Ireland.
I'm attempting to find out exactly who he was, and my post was to appeal to people who may know of William to try and establish if he and his relatives are part of my ancestry.
William T.Rumble

There is a William T.Rumble in the Ellis Island passenger lists of immigrants to the USA. I'm trying to discover if he is connected to my Rumble line. He was on board the ship Umbria that sailed from Liverpool, England, and arrived at Ellis Island, New York 22 Oct 1904. His birth year is listed in the passenger records as 1880, but his ethnicity is quoted as Ireland,Irish, and his residence Isley. I think there maybe an error in the passenger records, because my Rumble line came from East Ilsley, in Berkshire England. Isley and East Ilsley sound too close to be a coincidence. This makes me think he could be connected to me. Does anyone know anything more please about William who apparently emigrated to the USA in 1904?
Thanks, Steve
