Also still looking for parents of James B Russell. I have Sarah's surname as possibly Garrett. Also, she didn't die in 1860 but James probably died prior to 1856.
James B Russell was born ca. 1806 in Virginia. I would think possibly his father was either Elijah or William for children names. He married either a Sarah Garrett or a Sarah Dobson/Dodson ca. 1824 in possibly either Pittsylvania, Virginia or Williamson Co, TN (found those on different sites). He bought land in Hinds County, MS in 1835 and shows up on the 1840 and 1850 census. Then disappears (or so I thought!)

Sarah D Russell was b. ca. 1805 in Virginia. She appears with her husband and family on the 1850 census. She became a member of the Bethesda Baptist church in 1852. She then bought land in Franklin Parish, Lousiana in 1856, 1857, and 1859 and appears there on the census in 1860 with her son BF Russell. I do not find her in 1870, but she was still on the tax list for Franklin Parish, LA in 1865.
The following cemetery record was found (no confirmation if correct one or not):

He is listed with wife Mary and these sons in 1860 in White County, TN.

3. Nancy Russell b. ca. 1827, TN. I don't find record of any marriage or find record of death. I'll need to search more thoroughly in MS and LA and pos. TN. At quick glance, you might think she was the Nancy Russell to marry Charles Martin, but that marriage was in 1846 and this Nancy appeared on the 1850 census with her parents while the other one appears with her husband Charles(my whatever great-uncle).
