The person in the original thread, Monique Saddler was sent the Bible in March of 2008. If you reply to her message, she is related to your family. I found the Bible at a Rummage Sale back in 2008 and wanted to get it back to someone in your family. She was the first one to track it down.

I need some help. I am working on some SAR research. As a part of this research I am needing to document that Elizabeth Sadler (who marries William McDonald in Mecklenburg Co, NC 1789) is the daughter of John Sadler and Jennet(Sp) McCulloch (daughter of William McCulloch and Elizabeth Neel). I need something (a will and last testement or similar document) that explicitly connects Elizabeth Sadler to John Sadler as daughter/father. When this is done I will post all of the documents as pdfs to the "Forks of the McDonald's" family tree. My goal is to get William McCulloch recognized by the Sons of the American Revolution and make this documentation available for any ladies that wish to join the DAR, they may use the pdfs I will post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An area resident all of his life, he was born July 7, 1933, in Cassadaga, the son of Roland and Emily Kennelly Saddler.

He was employed by the former Vac Air Alloys Corp. for 24 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Moose Lodge and American Association of Retired Person.

He was an avid fisherman and bowler, he enjoyed his summer home on Lake Erie, was a kind, gentle man who always had time for everyone and they loved his smile.

He is survived by two daughters: Bonnie Moore of Cattaraugus and Lorri Straight of Jamestown; four sons: Robert N. ''Skip'' Saddler of Erie, Frederick J. Saddler Jr., Jeffrey Davis and Scott A. Saddler, all of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren: Stephanie and Kelly Saddler of Erie, Carrie Tredo of Bemus Point, Randi Saddler of Sinclairville, Christopher J. and Amanda M. Saddler, Jamie, Chad, Trevor and Douglas Moore Jr., all of Jamestown; seven great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters: Debra K. Francis and Julie J. Cusimano, both of Jamestown; two stepsons: Bruce L. Nelson of Falconer and Brian A. Nelson of Gray, Tenn.; eight stepgrandchildren: Nicole L. Vaughn, Rachel A. Rizzo and Michelle R. Francis, all of Jamestown, Benjamin F., Rebecca J. and Neal F. Nelson, all of Falconer, Cassandra R. Cusimano of Jamestown and Krista L. Nelson of Gray; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Tanner of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores M. Jensen Saddler, whom he married Aug. 26, 1978, and who died Nov. 28, 2001; and a stepdaughter, Sharyn Ann Nelson Rizzo on March 22, 2003.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Lind Funeral Home. Frederick J. Saddler Jr., an elder with Unlimited Compassion, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Our John Saddler is in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census in Mississippi. His brother Alonzo is next door. There were seven brothers (slaves) who came from Florida. John's son William Quincy went to Chicago; hence the Bible connection. Hope this helps or not.

I have info on a Jemima Saddler (Sadler) marrying Richard Brownell in Montreal, Quebec in 1845.

I also have a marriage record of their daughter, Martha Brownell, that states Jemima was from England.
Richard Brownell from Ireland.

Martha's sister, Sarah, (my gr. grandmother) married George Loughren (Laughran)and moved to Cleveland, OH. She died in 1909

Saddler-Jones Marriage Lic at Antique Store

A local antique store has a beautiful framed marriage certificate for James H. Saddler and Mary Belle Jones, married 1924 in Monson, Chelan County, Washington. There are also several photo's of the wedding party. The owner of the store said someone just had the items with a bunch of other stuff they had brought in. I am not related to this family, but if anyone is interested please contact me. Owner said she would take $15 for them.

I just saw your message. I am a descendant of Samuel Thomas Hickman Sadler. He married Elizabeth Reaves in 1847, not 1875. If you're still looking for information, I'll be glad to share what I have. One of Samuel's daughters, Nancy Kemily Sadler, married Levi J. Wheeler.

Susannah Sadler/Saddler had a sister named Martha who
married another Gosnell. The Gosnell's came from Maryland
to Kentucky. Some of them lived in Harrision Co., KY., but
i'm not sure of these. They lived in KY., long engouth for
some of the children to get married.

I just did a search on the LDS site; and they say that
Susannah Sadler married John Gosnell 06 MAY 1819 , , Virginia.(?)

They also said that Martha Sadler married Joseph
Gosnell 23 JUL 1815: they also said that Martha died
about 1838 in VA., but I doubt that. I think that they was
in Kentucky by then.

Samuel Saddler who married Nancy Gibson on 11/23/1843
She was from Virginia
Sam was from Kentucky ( somewhere ) he was born about 1813.
Had cildrten Batheny DOB 1844
Mary J 1846
Andrew Jackson 1848 ( G Grandfather)
Andrew Jackson or ( AJ ) married Elizabeth Jane Stewart.
Children were Alex,Mack,Henry,Dome,Ervin,Alice and ,Polly
Would appreciate any and all info.

Brian,if your still there I can help. Richards father was Henry C. Saddler. Henry was born 1819 to Jacob Saddler & Mary Crowel.
My line of Sadlers went on to Western Pa.

I'm trying to obtain information on a Thomas Saddler from KY (town unknown). Trying to obtain information on who he married. His daughter would have been Levisa (Lucy) Saddler who was born abt. 1826 in KY.

From what we know Thomas would have been a Turkish peddler
(drove mule). Levisa may have had a sister named Tabitha.
Levisa married Claiborne Hicks in KY Levisa died abt. 1897 in Kilgore KY and is buried in an unmarked grave in Johnson Chapel Cemetery near Straight Creek, Denton.

This is all the information I have. Any other information on the Saddler line would be greatly appreciated.
