Hello,

I know this is a very old thread but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. I'm very interested in tracking down a copy of the book Family History of Captain Miguel Sanchez Saenz
by Joel Rene Escobar y Saenz.

I could not find it in the index for Borderland books and am waiting for a reply from George Farias there.

Any help is appreciated.

Manny Galindo, Hello. My grandmother was Ma. Soledad Galindo born 1886 in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua which is very close to Santa Barbara, Chihuahua. I believe her father's name was Ynocente Galindo, who owned Mines in Minas Nuevas, Chihuahua. The Saenz family were related to the Galindo family. The majority of my Moriel family lives in El Paso Texas and they came from Parral and Santa Barbara, Chihuahua.

My Name is also Denise Saenz, My father Is Mario Hector Saenz son of Guillermo Saenz. They were from Juarez Chihuahua. I have done some research and i heard the Last name Saenz was adopted by Jewish and Moores in Spain because of the inquisition. I may be wrong but thats what i have come up with. I don't know your relatives specifically, but they may have been related to my Grandfather Manuel Saenz who was born in New Mexico as well. He was born in 1918 I believe. Have you found any information about your relatives from New Mexico?

Evaristo Carreon was married to Gertrudis (Chica) Barrera Flores Gonzalez and they had Genaro Carreon, Manuela Carreon-Saenz (my great grandmother), Isidoro Carreon, Jose Carreon, Edita Carreon and Federico Carreon. Gertrudis was married to Ramon Amador before marrying Evaristo and she had Federico Amador, Manuel Amador, Benito Amador and Amelia Amador.

I hate to break the news to you but as far as I know from reading the names of the signers there is no Saenz who signed his name. As for the land that was given to build the state capital that land was in the panhandle and became known as the XIT Ranch. As for your family crest most of the saenz' crests have a tree which means that the family converted to Catholicism

I am looking for information on my great great grandmother. Her name was Elvira Elizondo and I believe her and my great great grandfather were married, if not they at least had a child named Juan Saenz. My family doesn't really know anything about her since she was gone before my great grandfather became a teenager. I've been told she lost her mind and was sent away but then also told that she left for another man. She would have been born around 1892 and Felix lived from 1890 to 1983.

Hello my great grandfather was named Felix Saenz and he once lived in Runge, Karnes Co before moving to South Texas. He was born in 1890 and passed in 1983. He was married twice but I am his descendent from his first wife Elvira. Feel free to message me privately.

Well, hello it's me David (again); just wondering if there might be any possible family members out there. From what I understand my family lived on the outskirts of Monterrey, Mx. My fathers' name is Cruz D. Saenz (1943 - living), he is in his 60's, he is the youngest of 8, I think. His fathers' name was also Cruz Saenz (1899 - 1952) & his mothers' was Melchora Davila (1905 - 1985). If anyone thinks thesed names ring a bell of some sort, hit me up. Hello I'm 29 years old and believe I may have family out there whom are Saenz. Only info I've been able to obtain is Saenz originated out of Spain , Scotland and parts of mexico. My grandfather Guadalupe G. Saenz was born to Jose Pilar Saenz and Isabel Garcia Saenz and was born in Santa Rita New Mexico. If anyone out there have any info as to any relation please email me.             The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

            Sgt. Jose L. Saenz III, 30, of Pleasanton, Texas, died Aug. 9 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

I am looking for Julian SAENZ, he is listed on a death certificate for my great grandmother, she was born in Mexico on 12 Mar 1882, she died on 22 Jul 1976. It lists her mother as Juliana COLUNGA...I have found it could possibly be a Marianna. If anyone can help that would be great.

Adolfo Javier Saenz in Michigan

I have a woman working for me here in San Juan TX. She has a female child 10 years old this past August 5. Year born 1992 in Mexico. The mother says the father is Adolfo J Saenz. She claims to have worked for his family in the summer of 1991. A love affair began there and he followed her back to Mexico several times in 1991. Rachel is the mothers name. Anyone knowing Adolfo or any memebers of his family. Please have him to get in touch with the childs mother. Adolfo should know here to find her. Ana Regina is her name and she deserves a US education along with all the things that American girls get.

My name is Jorge Luis Saenz and Adolfo was my brother. He passed away in Jan. 2003. My Nieces and Nephews told me about Ana.She has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Her mother first worked for my mother in Monterrey,NL Mex. then she brought her to Michigan to work for another family. Yes, there was an affair between them but he returned back to his wife. My grandfathers name was Clemente Saenz, had sons Jose,Juan,Jesus,Camillo,Manual,Chencho,daughters my mom Josefina,Martha,Maria,Carolina.My grandfathers wife name was Brijeda. I wasnt sat with my uncle for several hours about 1o yrs ago to ask him about the name Saenz because its not typical as far as Hispanic names go. He went on to explain where his grandparents and great grandparents came from. It was from Spain and it went back to Islamic occupations after the failed Crusades. He went on to tell me that we were at least on his family side more than 70% of Arabic decendency and Sephardic Jewish on the other percent. And when I really took a look at the features of my grandfathers pictures and facing my uncle with the yellowish green eyes and my own kids whom some have been ask if they were middle Eastern more than once. I myself during Glendales (in LOS ANGELES COUNTY) Prodiment rule by the American Nazi Party during the 50's through 70's have been descriminated because of looking more Jewish than Hispanic. to the point that some restaurants in Glendale would served me and my wife (also Navarette maiden name Separdic Jew). My son was in high of predominently hispanics often picked or fought with because he looked more jewish white than Hispanic. I carry this as a Badge of Honor because either way I am a Spiritual Jew through my faith in Jesus Christ. But it nice to dig and search for my pass. Now heres a kicker my grandfather on my Dads side is Mayan. I only met him twice in my life and that was in secrete (as he was a wanted man hiding in the Sierras de Mexico) Thats another story though. And Ive documented more than 80% of that before I put it in writing.

My g.g.grandmother (b. abt 1829 d. after 1910) is a Saenz from Hidalgo de Parral, Chihuahua who married a "Pavia". Her daughter, Maria Theresa Pavia (b.1848 also Hidalgo de Parral) is my g.grandmother. She moved to the Santa Clara valley in California in the early 1900's. Any connections?

Hello, I am presently doing research on my maternal family tree. the surnames are Galindo, Moriel, Saenz.
Galindo's are from Villa Escobedo, (Parral), and Santa Barbara.
My grandfather great-grandfather Luciano Galindo owned silver mines in Minas Nuevas. Moriel's are from Santa Barbara.
my grandfather Isaac Moriel married Soledad Galindo, approx 1900. Moriel's and Saenz related.
Luciano Galindo was married to Macelina Rodriguez.

My name is Ruth Saenz; married name 'Tapia' i always get excited when i run into a Saenz, my dads lives in Monterrey Neuvo Leon Mexico,I have only met him once in my 47yrs of life. This mother of this Franicsco Saenz is Bonita Saenz who apparently did not have a husband to go with this child. She had at least one other child last name Saenz also. So the father of this Francisco Saenz will probably not be determined. But perhaps parents for Bonita Saenz will be found.
