This is as much as I know regarding names associated with my tree:Leonarda Salinas (Orozco) and Antonio Salinas, parents of Jose Maria Salinas born in 1905.

In answer to your question about Jim Carvajal, he is a distant cousin, if you did not already know. I am also a direct descendant of Feliciana Carvajal. That makes us distant cousins! Maybe we can compare notes.

She was married to Francisco Salinas.
Her parents were Sabas Garcia and Josefa Lerma
His parents were Cosme Salinas and Paula Canales

The Texas Death Certificate (available from familysearch.org) for Jose P Salinas gives his birth as 5 June 1903, Brownsville, TX and his death as 4 Dec 1972 (died at Mercy Hospital in Brownsville). Burial was in the City Cemetery on 6 Dec 1972. His father's name is given as Brigido SALINAS and mother is listed as Marta POSADA. I think the P is for Posada-Jose P. Salinas-son of Brigido from Brownsville. Just FYI-he worked for the Sheriff's department, not the Police department. Married Josephine Duval.Had 1 daughter (Maria Catalina). Maria Catalina is now 87 and healthy. As are other family members in Brownsville with vivid memories of Jose Salinas.

My grandmother(Josephine) was married to Jose Salinas from Brownsville. Jose was 21 when she was born (1924) which makes his birth year about 1903. I am looking for his birthday month and day for a passport for my mother and came across your post. I know he worked for the police department.

Mother father salinas chapa family out of agualeguas Nuevo Leon Mexico.
I was advised his branch family were from France.

I just have wrapped up my search for the Baez benavides family tree in Nuevo Leon.

I am starting the search for the salinas and chap families.

Delgado/Maldonado/Neda Family History

My grandmother who is 84yrs Julia Delgado Salazar was born in Austwell, Texas. She had ten children eight are still living today. Her parents lived much of their lives in Port Lavaca, as well as her siblings. Her fathers parents are Estanislado (Stanley) Delgado and Nieves Maldonado. Her mothers parents are Guadlupe Montejano and Genoveva Neda, they are Native American. She says her grandmother married a Native Indian and they lived on a reservation but when this man passed she was asked to leave the reservation. Iam trying to figure out which tribe they may have came from. I know that they lived in Coahuila and Piedras Negras Mexico and arrived in Eagle Pass in the late 1800's. So maybe its a Coahuilan Indian? She remembers having family along the Mexican border of Texas, Arizona, and California borders.Ive barely began searching and my grandparents are getting older, I really hope someone out there can give more info on these family members history and ancestors.

Salazar/Salinas family History

My grandfather is Manuel Salazar III age 87 of Texas. His parents and their parents have Spanish and German descendants. They owned land in Goliad Texas on the historic La Bahia. However the taxes werent paid and in 1995 the land was sold to a Jim Carbajal III. My Grandfathers grandmothers maiden name is Feliciana Carbajal, so Im interested in finding out if there is any relation to the new owners of this land.
Also there is a Francisco Salinas of Spain in our family that I have been unable to find he married in Spain and came to America in the 1800s to become a soldier in the Civil War. He fell in love with an Isabel or Ysebeal Sierra of Corpus and had 5 children. One of which is my grandfathers Mother Pilar Salinas Salazar. Any info on the matter above would be greatly appreciated.

These wouldnt happent to be the "Salinas" that are descendants of Spain? Im looking for a Francisco Salinas who had a wife in Spain, but came to America to fight in the war and later had 5 children with an Ysebeal or Isabel Sierra. One of the children they had was Pilar who is my Great grandmother.

I am just starting my search and I know that my grandfather was Feliberto Salinas. His first wife was my grandmother Felicitas Gonzalez Salinas. They had children including my father Juan Raymond, his brothers Richard,George sister Tina. There was another sister that died Lolly(possibly). He divorced my grandmother and remarried and had many more children including Henry and Robert. Any help would be appreciated.
