Re: Santana from Cabo Rojo/Mayaguez, PR

hello to all the santana's
yes most santana's in cabo rojo are related but they wont admit it. here it goes some of my familiy tree,
almost 150-200 years ago juan hacinto santana (my great great grand father) had a child with maria perez. diego perez santana (great grand father) he had a child with juana morales (several) then for a reason forgotten to time (feud maybe another woman) the family split almost in 2. there daughter frasica perez morales went to live in mayaguez. here brother eugenio went to live in cabo rojo and took the name santana. eugenio had about 7 children one was angel my father. fransisca had a daughter (about 3) noemi my mother. (god do you see were im going with this, sad but ture) angel and noemi never met because of the fued until they were adults in nyc (about 1960) they had no idea who they were untill they got married!!! till this day most of these people wont speak to each other. (what a fued) so a lot of the perez, morales of mayaguez are direct cousins fo the perez santana of cabo rojo.

some of the names are misspelled so if you think your related to me you my be. and if any of this in any way rings a bell email me cgs456@netzero.net and lets share info and once and for all reunite the family and put and end to the petty fights. i have met family in NY PA CT florida and theres a lot of them left in PR that i know of. i took a trip to spain in 97 but had no luck limited time to do my search and im missing info please help me fill in the blanks again that email is
cgs456@netzero.net

He was married at one time to Malva Kramer. They divorced in 1973.
I'm guessing he went back to Chicago.
My grandfather was Luciano Santana from Trinidad and Tobago, born 1910. His father Francisco Santana, who I was told fled Spain in the late 1800's with his father mother and 2 brothers Gregeiro and Hiraldo. Apparently there was some type of Spanish Civil War and that led to them leaving Spain. If anyone has more info it would be great.

Luwayne Santana

My grandfather, Nat Santana, recently passed away at age 95. He was from Humacao, not too far from Bayamon. His father was Anacleto Santana and mother was Montserrate Martinez. He had two siblings that I know of, Carmen and Anastacio. He lived most of his life in Humacao except for a stint in the 40's when he lived in New York. Coincidentally, my grandmother's mom's maiden name was also Santana...Juana Santana. Her married name was Serrano.

I currently live in SW Ohio, not far from the Indiana border.

Your grandmother Rosa Santana and my grandmother Rose Escarcega were first cousins. Their parents Miguel Martinez and Valeria Martinez were brother and sister.

My grandmother's father, Crecencio Santana and your grandfather Apolonio were brothers. We are both descendants of Antonio Santana born 1860 in Saucillo, Aguascalientes, Mexico.

pcuriel1@farmersagent.com

This would have been in the late 1800's-early 1900's. One of the 3 Gregorio was my great grandfather he had 12 children. settling in the central part of the island, a village named Tabaquite...

As you would know that the Santana family in Vega Alta have each of those names in Vega Alta Bo.Maricao. We all live in the mouantains and don't really go out of our bo. unless we either join the military or go to New York or visit family in other states. As long as you and all the other Santana's keep adventuring out and still keep intouch with family on the island we will never forget or be lost again. My grandmother who live to be 104 in 1997 never gave up on her family and said the Santana family is a very strong family. She was a Lopez - Flores. My fathers family had alot of the family name Santana-Serrano-Rivera-Lopez-Garcia.I hope this helped you in your search.
