Hi, I am Shane Santini and my father is Pedro Juan Santini from Caguas and my grandfather was Lino Santini from San Juan. I have information of your family in Caguas. This would mean that we are cousins. If you want to contact me I am in Facebook you can make a request, there is a lot of our family there also or you can reach me by email at santini1501@gmail.com.

Isabella,
Very possibly his father. It was common to name your child with the name of his grandfather. So our Santino could have been named for Phillip’s father. In April 2009 I had an e-mail from Angelise Flori who had some ancestors in Tomino, Corsica. I ran into her on GeneaNet. She says; “In Corsica the custom is to name children with grandfather or grandmother name. In this way my name is the concatenation of Angele and Elise, names of my grand Mothers. So Philip Armand’s father should be Adolphe or Santino, which is the name of the origine of Santini.”
Paul Savage posted some letters in Italian and French on June 3, 2007. They are under Photos, page 19 (SantiniNet). The three pages in Italian are numbered 13a, 13b, and 13c. He said at the time (of posting) “This is I believe the most important letter of this collection. It was written by a Santino Santini in Tomino in1859. I have never heard this name. Is anyone familiar with this person. It establishes a connection with the Santini family to Tomino.”
So thirty years after the letter found by Diane there was still a Santino Santini in Tomino, either the original or one from the next generation.
Harry
If you look carefully the letter is dated 1829 (I think, it looks that way) so that means that it can't be adressed to Tino because he was born after that so I think it could have been Philip's father or uncle. I may be wrong but it certainly is a possibility

Jessica,
I believe you have the name Annuzio wrong. The family story I have heard, at least is that my great-grandfather founded A Santini & Sons in 1887, and I have several patches which were put on company uniforms, with the company name, the year 1887 and the phrase "The Original Santini"
My greatgrandfather was Anuccio or Annuccio. (I did find the proper spelling on ancestry.com census records, but can't remember it right now. The family story is that the 7 Santini Brothers were relatives. My grandfather, who died while my father was very young, was Reynold Joseph Santini.

I would love to hear more about this. I have never heard of these two names but maybe one of my family members will remember it. Did any of your family settle in Northern California? I have come up with numerous people's names but have not had any real leads, hopefully in talking to you I can get some of my questions answered. I sent you a short email please feel free to email me back. Thanks
asantini@csustan.edu

I am looking for any information on this family from Lucca, Italy. Assunta Martinelli(8/8/1890) and her husband Gulio Santini(8/28/1887). I don't have the names of the parents of Assunta, but I do have Gulio's parents. His fathers name was Vincenzo Santini and his mother's name was Albina Giannini.
Gulio and Assunta moved from Italy and settled in Santa Clara county in NOrthern California. They later settled in Escalon, Ca. This is the only information I have, if anybody out there has any information please email me at asantini@csustan.edu
Thanks!

Cynthia, My grandfather, Joseph, built Aunt Rosina's house, she lived next store to us. I remember when she passed. I found your message interesting & helpful, I did not know my grandfather's mother's name. Adolphus died in Miami in May of 1927. I found the obit in the Sanibel Island, Lee county paper. I have been in touch with Maria Savage Cadwell, her grandmother was a sister of my grandfather. Hope to hear from you.

I have Peter born in 1851 in the Canary Islands. My records show Mary Angela buried in the Fort Myers Cemetery. (The old one in East Fort Myers)
