I am a decendant of Maria Carmen Sauced(o)a Luera born 1869. She was the daughter of Dionico (Pablo) Saucedo and Fransisco Luera. Dionico was actually marries to another woman at the time, Celcilia Martinez. Her baptismal records are from Parroquia de San Frasisco, NTRS SRA de Charcas, San Luis Potosi. She also had at least 5 siblings, Maclovio(Spelling?), Teresa, Dionicio, Narcisso, and Patricia. Maria Carmen was married at a young age to a much older man Jacinto Rosel with whom she had at least three sons, Valentine, Juan, and Pedro. Her sons her taken from her by the Rosels and she relocated and remarried Locadio Galvan in Real de Catorce, San Luis Potosi. With him she had two sons, Teodoro and Pablo. I'm not sure if he passes away or they divorced. I'm unsure the name of the third man she was involved with, they had two sons, Evalisto and another Paublo. (Evalisto moved to Corpus Christi, TX and died in 1964.) She then married my great great grandfather, Simon Chavez. They had three daughters, Maria De la Luz, Luciana (born 1904), and Ysidra. Simon was killed in an industrial accident, I believe they ten relocated to Houston, TX. (Luz eventually moved back to Monterrey, Mexico and married a Daniel(?) Rivera. Lusiana was my great grandmother. She married a Guadalupe Lopez. They had seven children, although two died in infantcy, Moses (male) and Guadalupe (female). The other children were Nicolas, Carmen, Maria del Rosario, Maria Cruz, and Juan Jesus.) Maria Carmen Sauceda vda Chavez then had one last son, another Pedro, with a man named Damas Martinez. She passed away in 1971 at 101. Any relation to you?

I found your post. I am currently researching my Great Great Grandmother. We knew her as Carmen Saucedo Chavez. She had many children including two Pedro's, Juan, Jose, and Fransisco. She moved to Houston where she passed away in the 1970's. Is this the same family?

It sounds like we're trying to find information on the same person. Did she pass away in Houston in the 1970's. Also married a Chavez with which they had Luciana Chavez de Lopez, Maria de la Luz Chavez de Rivera, Juan Chavez, and Evalista Chavez?

My father, Federico Saucedo was born on March 1, 1889 in the town of Real de Catorce, in the State of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. His father's name was Santiago and his mother's name was Valntina Méndez.
>
Federico was one of seven children. They were from oldest to youngest: Franciso, Eziquía, Ramón, Sotero, FEDERICO, Esteban and Félix.
>
We only know that Francisco Saucedo married Elijia and had
two children at that time (early 1900's) The names of the
children were: Catarino and Martina.
>
Felix Saucedo married Maximina and their two children at that time were: Maximino and Jenaro.
>
We only know that Eziquia Saucedo married Cadelario Ramos.
>
My dad, Federico crossed into into the U.S. at Del Río, Texas in 1911 and lived a healthy, wonderful life till he passed away at the ripe old age of 95.
>
Ramiro
******

He came up to visit and came to see me when I moved to CA.
Would there be a way to have him contact me or at least giv him my information?
Probably not the same Pedro Saucedo, but my Great Grandmother, Gregoria was maiden named Saucedo and she was born in 1901 from Rincon, Aguascalientes Mexico and had a younger brother named Pedro. Their father was Lino and they wouldn't have known their mother. I never met him only knew of him through my great-aunts who said he came to visit with his wife a few times but I thought he still lived in Mexico. I don't know of anyway to know if this was the same person but maybe this well help somehow? Hope so.

My mother has done extensive genealogy work, all the way back to the 1600's on some of the family lines and still getting data, but that far the data is only available in the Archivo de las Indias in Seville, Spain.
We can sumarize the Saucedo movement From the Basco country as follows: (yes we are Basque/Euskera and Jewish!!...Esuzkadi ta Askatuna... 2+3=1 (you would know what I mean with this, my grandmother used to say that that a lot!!!!)
Most of the Saucedos left Spain mostly from Seville and few thru Bilbao, they landed in the Port of Altamira, Tamaulipas/Tampico-Madero,another branch landed in Veracruz, not sure about their migration, but I can assume are the few in the Mexico City area.
My ancestors entered Mexico/Nueva Espana via Altamira, from Altamira some of them Migrated to Monterrrey/Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, then, some of them moved to Ramos Arizpe/Saltillo, Coahuila, from there to Tepehuanes/San Jose de la Boca, Durango, from Durango the migration split with one branch going North to Juarez, Chihuahua/El Paso, TX and surrounding areas. the other branch migrated from Durango to around Culiacan, Sinaloa?? and then to Hermosillo, Sonora
There are tons of Saucedo's in the Chicagoland area that came from Durango. I met Saucedo's in Houston and San Antonio, Texas that came from the Saltillo and Altamira branches and Some Saucedo's in California can be from the Durango, Sonora or Sinaloa's branches. So far I understand the Durango and Saltillo branches are the most predominant in the USA.
I met one Saucedo from Guatemala, (he only knew his extended family), The Netherdlands and Brazil, but they were not sure of their lineage and one my Dominican coworkers told me of Saucedos in the Dominican Republic...it may explain the Guatemalan family???

My family is from the Durango Branch ...and I visited most of these cities I mentioned during the migration as a child with my mother doing data collction. Our goal is to link the whole family tree together some day.
We uncovered multiple articles while researching online, but they are not confirmed such as Saucedos in the Spanish royal lineage and lordiship over the Sauceda in Euskera(Glen of the willows in Basque country)but we are not sure yet on that!!!
