I'm looking for information on: George M. Saunders and his wife Nancy (family name unk, born in Georgia abt 1828). I have a possible date of death of 1912 (in Alabama) for George.

The surname spelled "Saunders" on 1880 and 1910 census forms and "Sanders" on 1890 and 1900 Census forms.

They lived in Jackson County, Alabama per all the census information.

George was still alive, aged 81, listed in the 1910 Census living in Pisgah, Jackson County, Alabama. I found a death record for 1912 for "George Sanders" in that county.

They are the parents of my great-grandfather William Arthur (W. A. ) Saunders (1858 - 1944). W.A.'s name was spelled "Sanders" on an Alabama marriage record to Almarinda C. Starkey (known to the family as Cora) in 1883. W. A. Saunders moved to southwestern Oklahoma about 1900.
