What city is 13 Rydal St. in? I don't recognize the name Margaret offhand but cannot say for sure she is not related. I have not been doing any genealogy for some time because of family needs. Hoping to get back to it soon. Do keep in touch.

I have just found amongst a cache of old letters a letter from a C. A. Scandrett of Davenport, Iowa, applying to be a teacher in the school at Blue Grass, Iowa (10 miles west of Davenport in Scott County). It is dated 24 Jun 1886. Is this part of your family?

Belfast Scandretts

Hello, help please. I am looking to confirm that James William Scandrett (b.abt 1861) & Richard Scandrett (b.abt 1863) of Belfast, were actually sons of James Scandrett & Mary Anne Dillon who married at Moira 13 Apr 1854 and later lived in Belfast. I see no reference to these births in the Civil Register. James Sr. was an elder brother of George who migrated to NZ and is my Wife's ancestor. Any information on James William & Richard (who seem to have migrated to San Francisco around 1890) would be very much appreciated. I am also interested in any Antrim & Down Scandrett (or name variants) details in the early/mid 1700's. Thank you.

Just to let you know, it wasn't a mistake messaging me - Samuel is also my GGG Grandfather! It seems like he is Adrians as well. I have discovered the same about Elizabeth Jackson. I see Public Member Trees with Sarah Ada Scandrett who married Frederick Solomon Moses Frisbee, and I would like to get in contact with descendants of Sarah. Sarah descends from Thomas Scandrett born 1782 at Lisadian, County Down. My Wifes line (she is an NZ Scandrett), descends from Jacob Scandrett, born 1776, Thomas's elder brother. I have information back to the parents of Thomas and Jacob but nothing before that. I would like to link up with existing descendants and also learn of anything re James A Scandrett (Sarah Ada's Uncle) who also lived in Wellington, KS in 1880 to 1895. Thanks. Allen Bunn.

I have just returned to this search after a break - your 3x great grandfather Samuel Scandrett is also mine!!! I am the descendant of his eldest daughter Emily Dora born 1862. I know that he was born 1836 to William and Elizabeth, and had 3 older siblings, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Charles. His parents married in Pembridge in 1825, his mother Elizabeth Jackson was a widow and I can't trace her maiden name, but she had apparently come from St Johns Antigua which I find intriguing.
Please do get in touch and let me know how you are descended from Samuel.

I found a Sarah Scandrett, christened 10 SEP 1837 Canon Pyon, Hereford, England.

Parents: Father John Scandrett, Mother Sarah Roberts (married 12 MAR 1835 Canon Pyon, Hereford, England)

My Great Great Great Grandfather was Samuel Scandrett born in Pembridge, Herefordshire in 1839 from what I can gather. Is there a possiblity they could be related?
He is about as far as I have got so far, he married Emma and had nine children between 1862 and 1878.

I have been researching Irish Scandretts and migration to NZ in 1850 so I have also noted the US families. To help me sort out the Irish families who were in Ulster (Down & Antrim)in 1700's, can you, or anyone else pass me any info on William Scandrett & Catharine Coleman who were Julia's ancestors ?.
