Thanks for checking Billy. Seems like a lot of this family only existed on paper. May go to Chattooga Co. GA & see what we can find. We do know that Julias' younger brother (Arthur/Arnold) died in White Co. TN & her son Walter died in Louisville, KY.

i am looking for a Lucinda Scoggins from gilmore co, Ga and died in Boone co, AR she married William henry watkins.

I'm still looking for the same Lucinda Scoggins. William Henry Watson and she were my Great great grandparents. Their daughter, Nancy was mt great grandmother. I remember that my mother always told me that her grandma Nancy was American Indian, probably Cherokee. It would seem that she might be half right because there appears to be Indian blood in the Scoggins family, but not Watkins. Nancy married Pleasant Andrew York, Jr.

There is a Lucinda Scoggins in my family tree, not sure if she is the same one. She was born in or around 1847, probably born in South Carolina. Not sure who she married. If this sounds familiar let me know.
