Lawrence Sedgewick of Toronto or Clear Hills

On 19 April 1921, notices of Application for Inspection were sent to Lawrence Sedgewick, Esq., 107 McKay Ave, Toronto, Ontario or Clear Hills (likely in the Peace River district of Alberta.) The notices were sent to confirm his abandonment of the N.W. quarter, section 21, township 87, range 25 West of the 5th meridian so the the homestead could be reassigned. Can anyone enlighten me as to who this was or why he might have abandoned the property? What was his interest in land well north of Peace River?

I am not related.

Trying to find my great grandmothers family. I found Allen D. Davy with his wife Ann in Sedgewick county in the 1880 census. They had three children: Amanda, John R. and James C. I am interested in Allen, his wife Ann and their sons John R and James C. Davy. John was born about 1875 in Ohio and James C. was born about 1878 in Ohio. Would appreciate hearing from any one that can help me with this family.
Thank you, Claudene

Mordecai Cofer

Marjorie--The daughter of Mordecai Cofer, Mary Cofer age 17, is my husband's great great grandmother. We had no information on her other than her name and birth place and date. I had recently obtained a copy of this same census that you have posted. I am wondering if you know who Mordecai's wife was, and any other information pertinent to this family. Mary's birthplace is supposed to be Dallas County, Mo. I find a George W. Cofer living there in 1860. Perhaps he is Mordecai's brother??? Please e-mail me at Tyrey4565@aol.com if you can help. Thanks.
