There is my grandfather was called "Pepin".his name was Jose Gerena y Santiago.His wife was death by 1910 and her Surname is Segarra.According the census he had a child male called Jose Gerena y Segarra 7 years old and two girls
Engracia 6 and Gertrudis 5 years old.The girls i believe migrated to USA.In 1920 "Pepin" married Celestine Lopez and had 4 sons.In 1930 Census is present My uncle,s Antonio Gerena Lopez 6 years old, Louis (my father 5 years old),his name is Luis Gerena Lopez was known as "Guiche" , Angel 2years and Manuel who was 11 month.Hope this help you on your quest.

My mother is a Segarra from Cabo Rojo "downtown". Her mother's name is Virginia Velez and her father's name is Alfredo Segara. I don't think they were ever married. I am trying to find out more about her father's family and grandparents. My mother is very ill and she is not remembering much these days. She was born in 1929. Her mother would have been born early 1900's but we don't know much about her father's family or his birth. Any help would be appreciated. Mary

My grandfather is also Adolfo Segarra from Ponce, Calle Jajome, husband of Nereida Carmona Orza. Great grandparents are Adolfo Segarra & Josefa Michelli Blasini, My mother Luz Maria Segarra is your father's sister and she married Mario Garcia Del Valle. Therefore, we are cousins! Nereida Carmona Orza our grandmother's parents are Juan Carmona Rivera and Lorenza Orza.

Aunque vivi en Espana en el ano 1990 no pudimos llegar a encontrar esa zona. Tal vez usted puede decirme si es una posibilidad. My maiden name is Ileana Segarra Ramirez & I was born in Cabo Rojo, PR in 1945. My father's name was Roberto E. Segarra & he married Gabina Ramirez in 1942. His father was Pablo Segarra Gonce.My father came from a family of 10 surviving children. Hello, my name is Brian Hernandez and I am looking for any information on my grandmother Gloria Segarra. I know that she was born in 1927 in Puerto Rico. I am unsure of exactly where she was born. She came to New York in the early 1940's from Puerto Rico. I have been unable to find any more information related to her. She may have had a sister named Esther Segarra, but I cannot confirm this. Gloria Segarra married William Hernandez Sr. who came from Andora.

Hi, just so you know, La Pileta is in Cabo Rojo, right in "down town". Although I don't know any of the names you mention. My grandmother was born in La Pileta back in 1906. My grandfather who's name is Aurelio Segarra, I don't know where he was born. Prior to his marriage to my grandmother, he had a daughter from a lady in "La Pileta" who lived there until she died. Don't know the ladies name, but her daughter's name is Ramona Segarra who's lived in Rio Piedras Country Club for many years. Aurelio had a sister named Laura Segarra. Any connection?

My PEREZ y SEGARRA family came from Spain also. MY Dad was born 1/2 way from Spain 1n 1894..on a ship.....the other three were born in Spain..I am a twin born in 1919 in UTUADO.P.R.. Have you heard of this Segarra Family.

My grandfather was a stowaway on a ship, I believe came from Spain. His name is Manuel Segarra he is 93y.o. alive and kicking, he currently resides in Caguas, P.R. He had a brother named Alejandro and another who was an amputee. I have more background info. on him but I need to look it up. I currently live in Staten Island, NY.

Hi there. My great-grandmother was from Lares, Puerto Rico. Her name was Juanita Segarra. She married Quinones (don't know first name) Had 2 daughters Pura & Carmen (my grandmother). Carmen married Jose Antonio Aramburu (grandfather). They had moved to Manhattan in the early 1940's where they had a daughter Carmen Isaura (my mom). Juanita moved with them & helped to raise my mother Carmen. She (Juanita) died in 1965. We have little information on my greatgrandmother. I am searching for any info.
