My first cousin,a
SEIBEL, did Y-chromosome testing a few years ago so my branch of the
SEIBEL family has "our" Y-chromosome documented with FamilyTreeDNA.com, the premier group associated both with Jewish Genealogy and with the National Geographic Society (you might have heard of it through that association). I also asked the Brazilian branch of Seibels to participate. Such testing would be a sure way to determine if your family has Jewish roots.
