I believe that they may have been lutheran. I know that they had children in Canada, Ohio, and in Minnesota. They are buried in Red Wing, MN

Thank you for your response! So glad to get in touch with someone that is also interested in genealogy. My husband Brian's grandmother was Evelyn Seiz Martin (now deceased). Her father was Fred Seiz. I'm sure that you know of her. My mother-in-law Marilyn and I would love to get together sometime. I will e-mail you my info.

I do get down to Springfield ever once in a while. My brother and my Aunt and Uncles live in and around Springfield. Maybe we can get together sometime with all of our notes. Let me know. Jill

Carrie I have not work on the Seiz family tree for awhile I been doing research on my husband family tree. My father name is Leroy Seiz now deseased. My Grandpa name is Frank Seiz and Frank father name is David Fredrick Seiz. I have not work on Seiz family tree for a while. I glad you got in touch with me. Hello- My husband's GGG Grandparents were Eberhardt & Anna Seiz. I have their obituaries from the IL State Journal-Springfield, IL. Eberhardt died 4-9-1903 at the age of 76 years, 1 month, & 15 days. According to the obituary, he was born in Wittenburg, Germany. Anna was born in Bischofsheim in the Grand Duchy of Baden, Germany. If you need any other info or want to exchange info, I would love to talk.

I am having a hard time finding info because of the name changes. I am finding info in all spellings and it is hard for me to put together. Help!!

Looking for Eberhardt Henry Seiz born Feb 24 1827 in wittenburg germany. I think this is wrong look like most of the Seiz's came from Wurttemberg. HIs wife name is Anna Marie (Rosz) Seiz she came from Bischofsheim Baden Germany. Can anyone help me with this?

My family name is SEIZ and as been for at least three generations that I know of. My father is Charles Erwin Seiz, grandfather, b. 1909, Erwin Albert Seiz, greatgrandfather, b. 1886, Herman Seiz. I know that greatgrandfather and grandfather were both born in Stuttgart, Germany and came to America (eventually settled in Compton, California) right before Hitler came into power, mid-thirties.
