I am searching for the burial place of Henry E. Selah a Civil War veteran of the 91st Pennsylvania. He died 5/28/1898 probably in New Jersey or Pennsylvania.

I am not related to him.

Bob

http://ourbrothersgonebefore.wetpaint.com

Hi Dick,

I am stuck on my ggg gRandfather Antrim Selah. He was the father of my Thomas Selah. The last thing I can find on Antrim is a 1880 census record from Bridgeport Montgomery County PA. that shows him living with his Daughter and her family.

Selah is an uncommon name, especially when used as a surname. I know. My last name is SELAH. There was an Elisha Selah born in 1822 in PA. He was a nailler. he married Mary Bevins (<1822>), also os PA. They had three children that were listed on the 1850 Census for Norristown, Montgomery County, PA.: Thomas (1842), Alfred (1844), and Sarah Ann (1849). His brothers were: Charles, Alexander, William, and Robert. There father and mother were John Selah (b. 1773, Delaware County, PA) and Elizabeth Selah (b. 1786). Thirteen SELAHs fought in the Civil War and are listed at www.itd.nps.gov/cwss, a web site that the National Park Service maintains for Civil War Soldiers and Sailors. If interested in more genealogical information, contact me. Sincerely, Dick Selah

Still out there? Just read your 2001 message on the Selah Board and I would love to correspond about our Selah line. Selah name is very difficult to find. I'm back to Morris Selah born 27 Mar 1785 Huntington Bay NY. The Selah family is said to be "Pennsylvania Dutch". I have his death and burial place, two of his offspring. Hope to hear from you.

I'm looking for info on My Great Great Grandfather Thomas Selah. He would've been born in the mid 1800's in PA. I know he had at least one son William Wallace Selah. He was married to Elizabeth Hendren also from PA. They may have had another child name Lola but, I'm not sure. Any info would be great as I am stuck! Thanks!
Kathy Monroe Katmonr@aol.com
