hi my name is janell and my father's name was john seminary he is the son of john seminary and ameila richardson she was benard richardsons sister he died in june 1969 so the john seminary u have died in 1937 is probley my grandfather he died young they had john kathleen and rudoph and merlin and there was another child that died not long after birth i want to say her name was laura im not to sure please contact me at 348-1965 so we can chat there so much i want to know about my family and i have a story to tell u about matthew or martin

You are related to my husband. His grandmother was Mary Molly (Poynot) Elling, daughter of Sidney/Teddy Poynot and Josephine Seminary. Antoinette (Poynot) Vida and Henry Poynot were his great-aunt and uncle. My husband is the son of Mary's son Henry Elling. Please contact me so we can share information!

See my reply to the previous message for lots of info I just found out about the Seminary family. I'm going to also send it in an e-mail to some other members of the family I've heard from in the past year or so.

My Grandmother's mother was Josephine Seminary from New Orleans, Louisianna. From what I know, she had three sisters, Margaret, Laura, and Virginia (who died at an early age), and two brothers, Salvador and Matthew. Josephine Semenary married Sidney Poynot. They both died early from TB, and their three children, Antoinette (my grandmother), Mary and Henry, were sent to an orphange. However, Josephine's sister, Laura, took my Grandmother from the orphange and raised her. I believe Laura was married to a gentlman by the name of Ben or Bernard- don't know the last name.. Josephine's sister, Margaret, took and raised Mary.

I am looking for information on the Seminary family in Louisiana. Mateo Seminary I beleive was my cousins great grandfather. Joseph Seminary was Johnny Seminary's brother. Margaret Seminary was Johnny Seminarys sister which I beleive were Mateo's children. Any help or info would be appreciated
