Hi Julie-
I am the great granddaughter of Marie Server (Ross) sister of Philip and daughter of Fred and Annabelle. My dad is James H. Ross, grandson of Marie Server Ross & Robert Park Ross from Hardin. My dad passed away in June 2011 (see Obit in Billings Gazette) and my brother Deren, mom Grace and my family reside in Northern California. Yes, her father did run a hotel in Big Horn County--how are you connected?

Thank you so much! I am related to Server's who go to Michigan, but past Frederick the trail evaporates completely. Since I live about 80 miles from Big Horn in Miles City MT it is interesting to me to see if I can establish a link. Esp since our great-great grandfather was also named Frederick. Philip and his father owned the Server Hotel that was located in what is now Custer, MT. Found a wonderful write-up on your Frederick on here. I am fairly certain our branch of the Server family originated in PA as well, but like I said, there is a huge hole in my info. Again thank you for your help.
Julie Server

No connection to Michigan, sorry. This connection goes back to Germany and then to Pennsylvania... then out west. If you'd like to give me some names, I'll take a look in my genealogy to see if there is a connection.

Hello again !! yep Arthur is my Grandfather this is so cool
I am not joking this is the first time I have been into Ancestry for about a month. Then to see I have a message and to see someone looking for the same person was just to good to be true. So I was very happy to see someone had seen something that I put out there to read.I found another cousin in Ohio his name is Richard and he is the son of another son from Fredrick's.I am going to have to learn how to scan pictures for sure because I want to know what everyone looks like and all the other goodies. Do you have any pictures of Fredrick and his son's and daughters? All the daughters became teachers. I have to run for now will check in tomorrow.
Do take care
Jacqui

I have 4 grandsons, two are step Grandsons but I hate that step thing.I have Hunter age 10, Joe age19, Matt age 23, and Damien age 26 and a son age 49. Dame that makes me sound old.
I also have a step daughter Krishona 38 and she has no kids not even married. Did you know that Fredrick had 6 daughters and they all became teachers. The only one that never left MI.was Mini.
Glad to hear from you, and the Spain/Cuba information is interesting. My grand father's name was Peter Server. My line came to Pa from Germany in 1732. At that time, there were many German people leaving Germany because of wars, and economic conditions. It is very possible that some families went to Spain, some to the United States. I think that could have been very possible. Your English is fine, I don't have a second lanuage, so am impressed wtih any knowledge of another language. Keep in touch.

Hi Gloria. I believe I'm a relative of Peter Server and Milly Seaton. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to establish the connection, so I hope you can help.

My GGG Grandmother was (Anna) Catherine Server, born about 1823. She married Joseph Henry Potter and they lived in Pulaski and Saline counties in Arkansas. I don't have many details about them, but my great-grandfather Willis George Potter (Catherine, Thomas Jefferson) was born in Davilla, Texas, where the Server family apparently ends up.

So, I'm not sure whether Catherine would have been Peter and Milly's daughter or maybe a neice or cousin, but I do believe she's related. Any help?

Thanks,
Sara Bristol

I would love to have the info. on Nancy's siblings. I don't know if the lady that gave me this info. has it or not. She would probably love to have it. Nancy and William had at least (9) children before she passed away. I not sure of the marriage date, probably abt. 1850/51. They had a son born and died 13 Sep 1851. They had a set of twin girls in 1852. Instead of posting all here send me an email. That way I will know where to send it.
Regards.....Lynn

I am glad to get your information. Do you have date of marriage and names of their children ? Evidently, she stayed in Arkansas when her parents and siblings left Ar and moved to Milam Co Tx in 1852. I realize that she is not a direct line for you, so you may not be interested in any additional Server information, but if you do, I can send data on her siblings.

Thanks Gloria,
I believe she is the same Nancy. I was told her last name was SEVIER. My husband's great grandfather William T. WHITSON's first wife was Nancy SEVIER?SERVER. He was in the household with them in the 1850 Census, Eagle Twp., Pulaski Co., AR. I had hoped to find him in the household of his parents. He was born in TN and I have not been able to determine who his parents were. They lived in Crawford Co., Lafayette Twp., AR. They had abt. eight children before she died. William's 2nd wife, Tempa EDWARDS was my husband's great grandmother. I just thought you might have info. her and William. Thanks for your response.....Lynn
