Joseph Service born 1798 married Mary Smyth Williams in County Antrim Ireland in 1830. Their children were James (my GGGgrandfather) born 1833, Joseph born 1840, John 1842, Mary 1843, Margaret 1849, and Alexander 1850.
Joseph (father) and his wife Mary came to Australia as immigrants in February 1867. His son James (my GGGGrandfather) was already here, he arrived in 1856. All of the Service children from that particular family were either in Australia already or followed their parents over. Mary arrived in 1865 and married Robert McGuire in 1867. They had 2 children John born 1869 and William born 1871.
