The branch of the Service family I am looking for moved from Ayrshire to Larne, County Antrim. Further down the line Mary Service married Thomas Stewart whose family came from Appin, Argyllshire.
I am looking at 1700 to1850 ish. John Service was the father of Joseph Service, who was the father of John Service (1773), who was the father of William Service. The second John Service, his son William and Williams daughter Mary lived in or near Larne, County Antrim. Mary married my great,great grandfather Thomas Stewart who also lived near Larne
