I think this may be my niece. I never met her myself, but my parents did. All I know is that he had a daughter named Dana around this time. My grandfather was John Severa and I remember, as a child in the 1950's, an uncle Frank and Aunt Mary...or Mari(?)and the family history, thin as it is, presumes grandpa came from Bohemia in the early 1900's...

John Severa married my grandma Adeline (her maiden name has slipped my mind...but I have it at home somewhere) around 1920 in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana (Dyer) area.

They had three children, John (1921?-1998?), Adeline ("Sis")(1923?-still living), and my father James (1925-2002).

I don't have a whole lot more historical information but can fill in contemporary stuff if you want.

I was just goofing off this morning and Googled "Severa"... found your post among others. Actually just sent a long reply to post immediately above yours but it was returned as undeliverable.

Rather than wasting a lot of time on family history details and getting another "undeliverable", I'll suggest you email me back at severaj@calumet.purdue.edu and I'll fill you in with what I know about John and Frank Severa, my grandfather and his brother, in the Chicago area after World War One...

My grandfather was Louis Severa of Clarkson, Neb. His father was Joseph Severa born between 1817-1846 in the czech republic but I'm not sure where?? His wife's name was Katie Bohurek born between 1842-1937. Any chance we are family??

She met and married VINCENC VESELY in Bohemia, and had two children that I know of, Mari, born July 5, 1880, and my great-grandfather, JOHN(JAN)VESELY, born 1881 or 1882. My maiden name is Severa. My grandfather was Frank Severa and he married Mary Sabo. They both passed away in the 70's. They had six children, Joseph, Frank, John, Charles, Margaret and Mary. My father was Charles Severa. We are the only Severa family in this area. We never knew if my grandfather had any brothers or sisters. He came from Bohemia in the early 1900's. Our family lives in Ohio in the greater Clevealand area. If anyone knows anything concerning my grandfather, Frank, having any siblings please e-mail me at mgikas@centurytel.net. Thank you so much.
