Wilfred Sheen 1900-1964 Tarvin

I don't seem to be able to find my grandfather;s parents. I can identift his uncle and grandparents but not his parents. I seem to suspect his father who I think is George may have been killed in WW1 but I'm not sure what happened to his mother. Can anyone help?

I'm researching my Sheen/Dean heritage. My parents came to Australia in 1959. Returned with me to England in 1962 then came back to Australia in 1963. Other than my mother and brother and a cousin I have lost contact with I have no living relatives in Australia. All of my relatives are in England primarily in Cheshire and Wales. I'd be interested to hear from you. If I've worked my heritage backwards right I seem to come from a fellow called Francis Earl of Sheen or Shinn.

There was a death for William Charles Sheen registered in St Pancras Reg district in the Dec quarter of 1969.
However his date of birth was shown as 6th Sep 1925, could he be the right one ?

Hello, I am trying to find out some more information about my grandfather, William Charles Sheen (1923 to 1969). He married my grandmother and had my father before divorcing. My grandmother never spoke about him and my father doesn't know much about either. I have found out some great information from being on this website but I would like to know more. I know he was from the Bethnal Green area of London. I also know he married again to a Jean King. In perfect world I would like to find out if they had children, what he did after he left my grandmother and where he is buried? Any information would be great.

Looking for information regarding a Paterson, New Jersey Family. Person was known to me as Aunt Nellie. Her actual name was as I understand it was Helen Malone. She was formerly a Sheen from Canada, Who had a sister named Elizabeth who married a BENNISON. It was understood that most of her family worked in the Silk Mills of Paterson, N.J. She had two daughters one named Lucy,the other named Edith. both daughters I understand were school teachers. Lucy married a Polestra, and had a son named William.

Sarah Shhen born 25 April 1852 left England on the "Lincolnshire" in 1874. Parents - Jerimiah Sheen and Ann Murphy - no other info on them. Married James Joseph Gilbert born 1950-1931. Had 11 children one was my great grandfather Albert Charles Gilbert. She died on 2nd June 1908 and is buried in the Coburg Cemetry. Hope this helps and is the same person u r looking for.

I cannot find a link to Sarah Ann unfortunatley and the name Jones (my husbands name!!!) is as far as it is wide in Wales!
Do you have any further info to go on at all? When Sarah Ann got married did it say who her father was? This would help to establish a link.

Sarah Ann SHEEN, my great aunt, married a Henry Pritchard Jones (a widower)in Liverpool in 1919. I believe he came from Radnorshire; they lived in Blaenau Festiniog & had a daughter Mary Jones who married an American soldier & emigrated with him.

I think William Tristram may have married Eleanor Heywood. I have him recorded as born 1657 Weythell On Gilwern Brook,Parish Of, Gladestry, Radnor, Wales. This information is from the IGI. His parents may have been Nicholas Tristram (c1632 Kington, Hereford - c1680 Gladestry) and Elizabeth. None of this is confirmed.

I have a copy of the will of Richard Green, father of Elizabeth and Pricilla Green who married Dantesey and John Sheen respectively, which could be of interest to you. he leaves property to Danzy Sheen and 60 pounds to John Sheen which appears to be a repayment of some sort.

Danzy Sheen (1741) married Elizabeth Green (1746) 12 May 1763. His brother John Sheen (1748) married her sister Pricilla Green (est1751) 12 Mar 1772

Maria Dauntsey (abt1690 Radnorshire) married Thomas Sheen (abt1683 - 1718) about 1706. Their son John Sheen 1709 called one of his sons Dantsey Sheen 1741. The name ( with various spellings as Angela says) seems to have been used in the family ever since.

I have got many Sheens from Glascwm in my tree incluidng the Thomas that you attached a mini bibliography of. I have also got the marriage of Maria Dauntesey to Thomas Sheen - but only the date 1706 - no church info but I don't think that it was in Glascwm as I have a copy of their PRs. A google search for Dauntesey/Dauncy and Sheen has been productive! There were Dancys around the area and a branchin Herefordhsire that could ahve been related to the Wiltshire Dauncys.

Hi Janice - yes the name Danzy does appear to crop up several times through the Sheen generations but the spelling does not always appear to be the same! I have got Danzy, Dauntesey, Danezy for starters... If I can help any further please get int touch.

I have been doing quite a bit of research on my family history (Sheens) and have gone back to Ann Dvies born 1814, died 1890, age 76yrs - Anne married Thomas Sheen, born 1800, died 1888, age 88yrs. I have found that they were married on 20th December 1839 in Glascwm and know that Thomas' father was Danzey Sheen of the Wern, but have been unable to go back any further - do you know any more? do you know who Thomas' mother was?

I am seeking information on Amy Sheen who married John Toon(e) in
District of BLABY, England. Amy and John were both born in Leicestershire. John in 1818 and Amy in 1821. John died of TB in 1857 and Amy and daughters Emma and Harriet Toon(e) moved to the US. Ended up in Cincinnati, OH and Emma married into the Danks family . Amy and John are my gggranparents

I have a lot of Pidgley information. I actually live in Gosport Hampshire England, I have found 2 Families of Pidgley/Sheen. I have yet to family up. An Oliver Pidgley Married an Edith Sheen in the June quarter 1924 in Poole, Hampshire. Is this of any help?. I have a list of 13 children to a Pidgley/Sheen born between 1912 and 1929. These would be over 2 Families, I have yet to find the other Marriage. I think the other Marriage was a James Pidgley to a Beatrice Shean, I am waiting for confirmation on that. I am not too sure as the record reads Shea, This was the Sept quarter 1913 in Fareham. I don't know if you realised the Pidgley's were travellers of old.
