Hello; I have been researching the Shearin/Sheren/Sherron etc. family. I am not connected to this tree as I hope there is a connection back in England.
Andrew Sheren b. 28 Feb. 1781 in Baltimore,MD, d. 1830 in Ohio. He married Nancy Stevens b. 10 Mar. 1786 in Ohio, d. 18 Sep. 1864 in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. They had 7 children. I have this tree in Ancestry.ca in 'Sherrens of the World" If you are interested, please contact me either through here or my e-mail address at redragon@csolve.net
Thank You
Derk L.
Hi:

I am so sorry but I really don't have any information on Sherrons, other than the ones in my family tree. Can you see it? If not, let me know. My great great grandfather was a Sherron, but I never knew any of his family. He, Henry Sherron married my grandmother, Emma Hood and that's where the Sherron came from in my line. They did live in Aliceville which is Pickens County so there is probably some relationship, but we will have to research it I think if we are to make a connection. My mother, who is 83 and the oldest in my family never heard of Andrew Sherron or Mary, but her memory is not the best so that is not a definite. Did anyone from your family know a Henry Sherron who married Emma maybe??

I am trying to find a record in Dunklin County where Jabel/Abel/Jaban/J.B. and Larena/Aurora Putman/Putnam became guardians of Oliver Hardy Sheron/Sheran. Oliver was born in Tennessee; I have no idea of his parentage. On the 1870 census in Dunklin Co, MO the Putman/Putnam family consists of husband, wife, two girls and Oliver age 6. Before this time the family has lived in NW Tennessee. Can anyone tell me whether the guardianship was received in Dunklin County?

The family moved to Oregon County, MO sometime before the 1880 census where Oliver is counted at age 17 with the last name of Sheran and classified as an "other." Oliver was my ggrandfather. He used the name of Shurron as an adult.
My Great Great Grandfather was Henry Sherron. He married Emma Hood. Emma's father was Clark Hood (abt 1855) and her mother was Angeline Duncan. Some of Emma and Henry's children were: David, Thomas, Mollie, Lula, Angie, Mary and a boy nicknamed "Son", don't know his name. Emma had a brother named Roy Hood. Any help on any of these surnames would be helpful. Thanks,

Nancy and Elizabeth and Martha Sheron are listed on the 1850 census of Hardin County, Kentucky. They are all apparently single, but Nancy and Elizabeth have children listed. I believe they are all daughters of Charles Sherren/Shearin/Sherron. Listed in his will in 1848 are Nancy, Betsy, and Patsy Sherren. I did find a later marriage record of a Nancy to John Goode, but cannot find them in a later census. What happened to these girls? I need marriages. I do show Elizabeth's daughter Martha married to Thomas Sheron (son of Edmund) in 1852.
Anyone have more information on these ladies?
Nancy and Patsy sold land in Hardin in 1855. They are still not married then.

I am currently trying to locate my great grandfather who is listed in the 1880 Martin Co. census as a farmer near Shoals Indiana in Martin Co.He spelled his last name SHERON.
I visited the area last October trying to locate his grave, and put a reward in with the genealogy society in the area but did not have any luck. Do you by chance have any information.
We have a website at "Sherronfamily.org" which tells alittle about our branch of the family.

I am a distant relative to a Harley Sherron/Sheron/Sheren.
There is a listing of a Harley Sherron as a son of my great-
great grandfather....Barney Sherron/Sheron/Sheren. My G/G/
grnand father was married several times and as with other members of the family,I found that with research the last name was spelled several different ways , even from one marriage certificate to the next. any way, one fo his sons was named Harley, which is not a real common name.I don't have alot of info on him after he left Grant Oo. Indiana other than I
believe Harley died in or around Cincinnati ohio. But may be
this will be enough to help out .I know that the names,John,James and William are common names in this branch as are Matilda and Nancy. We are the branch that came from Delaware/Ohio/Indiana. I have more info at home, but mainly use a computer at a library about once a week or every 2 weeks, so if it takes awhile for me to reply, please be patient. Please let me know some of the names, places that you have associated with Harley and we may be able to help each other, especially since I am still located in Grant co.

looking for Katie Sherron/Sherrin b. in Maryland between1808-1816

Katie is the only child born in Maryland. The older sisters:Cynthia and Elizabeth are born in NC.
Patsy might have been born along the way in KY, her marriage name seems to change a bit, but we believe the surname is Hornback. The rest were born in MO. They lived in Chariton and Grundy Co. Some got married in Randolph Co. and Grundy Co. MO.
I haven't found all the marriages. Some move to Macon Co., MO., others to Lawrence Co., AR, and one goes to Douglas Co,OR.(our relative, sister to Katie:Mary Eliza).
Their parents names are Joseph and Mary Elizabeth. Mary had a sister named Martha HARDREDGE(HADRIGE). I have found a Mary which makes me think she moves to Tenn. Maybe Joseph died or divorced her.
Any help will be appreciated on finding Katie. She might have been born with a C, but in the bible copy, it is written with a K.
Peace to you and yours,
Thank you for reading my post.
Sincerely,
Carol Wright

Wyatt Sherron family, Rossville, TN

Almira (also written "Elmira") Knox, one of the sisters of my great-great grandfather (James H. Knox--1824-1894--of Rossville, TN--parents Robert Knox and Catherine Kirk Knox) married WYATT SHERRON (1826 - 1878) in Rossville, TN. They both died on October 22, 1878, possibly of small pox, leaving eight children (Felix, Mittie, Thomas W., Nettie, Robert L., Zachariah, Franklin and Elizabeth) and are buried in the Knox family cemetery in Rossville, TN (on Knox private property). Felix was about twenty at the time and Elizabeth, the youngest, eight. ( A daughter, Nannie, died at the age of ten, in 1873). The responsibility for the children fell on the shoulders of the Felix, the oldest. Through my grandmother's family (the Knoxes), I have acquired original photos of Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sherron who married a Mr. Huber and their summer "cottage" in Manitou, Colorado, as well as pictures of Mr. Huber, Frank Sherron (and his sons Wyatt and Robert Lee Sherron), Zachariah (also called "Jack"), Felix, and Robert. Neal Webb (the daughter of Almira's sister Mary Knox who married Augustus Webb) is in several group pictures. A number of the postings for the SHERRON family also mention a NEAL family. As many families often gave surnames as first names, I assume somewhere there is a NEAL connection. Please contact me at judycascales@hotmail.com if you are interested as I would be happy to share the photos with any of the Almira Knox and Wyatt Sherron descendants or family members. I also would welcome information about Wyatt Sherron's parents, etc. Judy Cascales
PS Some of the photos of Zacariah (Jack), Feliz, Lizzie, and Robert were taken by photographers in Memphis, TN.
