I am a descendant of Daniel (1715/1798) and Elizabeth Burleson (1720/1782) Shipman. Have a large data base of the Daniel descendants. Would love to share info with anyone working on this line. Daniel came to the US in about 1737 and married in VA and on down into Tennessee. My line got to Texas in abt 1855. Samuel Shipman (1810/?)(Isaac, Jacob, Daniel) married Betsy Pulley in Hardeman Co TN in 1828 and they came to Texas by 1855 when the daughter Sarah married William Babb in Redd River County in 1855. Children of Betsy and Samuel were: Amanda (Withers), Nancy (Smith), Mary Ann (Kiser),Sarah (Babb), Robert (Kiser) and Jim (Babb) and Samuel born in Texas 1860.
Children of Daniel and Elizabeth were: Sarah (Harrington), Edward (Merrill/Osteen), Jacob (Gage/McMinn), Anne (Lee), Daniel (McMinn), Lucy (Gage) , Phoebe (Crawford), Mary (Johnson), Rebeccan (Francisco).
