My mother was very involved in researching the Abner Shipman Family of Lyme, CT, and Lincklaen, NY, before she passed away in 2005. I have quite a bit of info on his family and children. In fact, the only children I do not have much info on are Elijah and Parthena Rebecca. What I am thinking of doing is creating a website for all the others out there that are researching this family and sharing her info, and for all of us to share info so we can see if collectively we can nail down a few of the stragglers out there. There are literally boxes full of info on this family in my basement now so it will take some time to put it all together.

My question - would others out there be willing to share in creating this? I know there are quite a few descendants of the children of Abner and Margery (I am descended thru Nathaniel Avery and his son, Frederick) that are researching this family. I'm hoping all of you might have interest in this as well. Please respond and let me know.
