i have a louise siedler married stephen zimmer. her dad is thomas siedler b-1805 in germ died-@1868 mom is catherine vogele born-1807 in germ d@1864. they both died in germ. louise is on my great grandmothers side. i hope this helps.

Hi - good to hear from you. I'm researching John Nicolaus Siedler of Hermann, Missouri, married Margaretha in 1849. Born in Switzerland, came to Hermann during the 1830s. He is my husband's great grandfather.

POW/MIA, Korean War, SIEDLER

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave Hamilton County Ohio as his home of record. His remains were never recovered.

Soldier: EDWIN PAUL SIEDLER
Born: Jan. 28, 1919, Caucasian
Date of loss: December 1, 1950, POW

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. The Siedler family is one of those missing.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (76 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Mrs. Clarence Siedler, 42, of 3600 Link Valley, Apt. 18 lies waiting for an ambulance after her car was hit by another and overturned in the 3500 block of Drummond at about 10 a.m. today. She was taken to Methodist Hospital with head and back injuries. Police charged Mrs. Becky Baker James of 6202 Falley Forge with failure to yield the right of way.

Am looking for information on family of Elizabeth Siedler, born Dec 10, 1844, in Kreuznach, Switzerland. She was married to John Reiff and spent her married life in Hamilton, Ohio. She died Jan 27, 1930 and according to her obituary she was survived by one brother.

Jim, I am actually looking for a James Siedler, I believe his first name may be Kenneth. He grew up in the Springfield Illinois area and was born in the 1930's. My sense is that this is not you, but you may be a namesake or a relative of the James Siedler I am looking for.

Hi, I am looking for information on Susan Louise Siedler who immigrated from Germany in 1800's to so. Illinois where she met and married her husband, Stephen Zimmer. They settled in so. Illinois and had the following children: Fredrick,thomas, John, Francis ( Frank), Peter, Willy, Catherine, Esther, Alena. Their son, Frank married Elizabeth Bayles and the settled in Johnson and Williamson co in so. Illinois. Louise Siedler Zimmer died in 1900 and is buried in Saline co. Illinois. I am looking for information on my g g grandparents, Aloise Siedler who came here from Switzerland. His wife's name was Jacabie. He was born about 1817 - 1820. When he became a US Citizen is name appears as Louis Siedler.
He had a daughter Caroline, who married Frederick Gallin.
Any information would be appreciated.

I saw your posting on Rootsweb for Siedler. I too am searching for a family of Siedlers. The only thing I really know about them was that they lived near the Grand Concourse in New York City area. I only know that this Siedler married either Matilda or Lena Lange. They had 2 children that I know of. One is Lydia and the other was a son. This would have been around the late 1880's or so.

I was married to Robert Wayne Siedler from Ludington, MI in 1973. We have two sons Matthew Robert and Daniel Keith and now a grandson Ethan Benjamin.

Robert's father was named Glennon Harold (Ludington, MI)and was a twin with Kenneth (Minnetonka, MN).

Their mother was Elizabeth, but I don't remember their Father's name right off.

We now live in Colorado.

Siedler is not a very common surmane and there are very few of us in the States. I still have a father who is living and according to him I an the 7th (and last)of the line with the same name. From what little I have been able to find out my grandfather came from the Kansas/Oklahoma area.

I'd be interested if any one else can share some light on ancestors and family history.
