Hi,
You are seeking information on Leah Skevington, Samuel Richardson's daughter. I have a list of his 12 children, but don't see a Leah. Could it be Lucy maybe? I have friend who has done lots of work on this family, who's ancestor is Samuel Richardson Skevington.
There is one unamed infant born 1799, perhaps that is her.
Rachel Skevington.

I have a Lucy Skevington b 1785 daughter of Samuel Richardson Skevington.

Her sister Ann b1799 = William Benjamin Poole, in Turvey in 1818. My husband Phil Skevington, shares the same ancestors as a lady, who did a lot of research and helped us greatly. This lady has Samuel listed with 12 children, but on her list I don't see a Leah, she and she also sent us a sketch of him.

Regards,
Rachel.

Hello David sorry I didn;t get back to you sooner. As I stated last time I'm having a hard time finding anything about my great-grandfather. His name was George Henry Skevington who was born in Bedford or Bedfordshire around 1870-1880 (not sure on date of birth. He had a sister named Nellie or Cassie. He came to Canada and lived in Saskachewan ,he married Connie Russell they had two sons Russell,Malcolm ,Russell was my grandfather.I'm trying to find out who is perents were and if indeed he had a sister. There is a strong possibility that he was illigitimate or his parents divorced Really having a hard time because he was never really talked by my grandparents any help would be greatly appreciated . I understand you have been in contact with my sister Anna I hope you can help thank-you

We also know he had a sister also. If you can help me on this it would be greatly appreciated if not I'd like to thank-you for all the effort you've gone to again thank-you cynthia

Dear David I finally recieved a bit of information regarding my great-grandfather,his name is George Henry Skevington he was born Jan,9 1881,he presumably had a sister Nellie, from what my father knows he was illegitimate when his mother married or remarried she took the last name pusser (either Mary-ann or Mary-lou ).He left England in 1911 from Liverpool on the HMS Royal Victoria there seems to be no record of this boat I know there is because my father has the boats papers. He died in 1968 in Ontario Canada. So if you can find any other information regarding his family in England it would be greatly appreciated. His last surviving son will not give any information Again thank-you for your time and effort
