If anyone has proof that Capt. Isaac Skinners middle name was Adderton I would sure appreciate it to know where to find it. I searched this family for 15 years and have never come across any proof of Isaacs middle name. also some are saying Janes middle name was Catherine. No proof of that either. I have a will from her father where she and Isaac are named. Please show me the proof. Thank you.

She and Isaac had one son, Marshall, who married my great grandmother, Grace May Thatcher. Charlotte passed away and Isaac remarried. I have the death certificate or at least info on when she died and where. Do you have information on her family - parents, where they came from, etc? I have nothing on her. Thanks!
I'm from the Richard & Jane Skinner line. Their son, Dempsey was born about 1814 in Hertford NC. He married Sylvia (?), and lived in Edenton until 1862 when they escaped to the Union Army who was in the area at the time. They relocated in Cambridge MA, and to my knowledge never went back to NC. As a result, I have no idea how they are related to other Skinners in the area. Additionally, not knowing Sylvia's maiden name is also a hinderence.

Hi
My husband is also a descendent of James Salter Skinner through his son Andrew.Just wondering if you have any information on the parents of James Salter. I originally thought his father was was Richard and his mother Sylvia but have seen a copy of his death certificate today and it says James Jonathon Skinner was his father and that he was a brewer. Also I would be very interested in knowing if you have any photos you would be willing to share.
Sandra

Stephen Skinner was my Great Uncle. He emigrated to Niagara Falls, Ontario,Canada with his Wife Alice(nee Jackson)in 1919. His Son George,Stephen and his Daughter Mabel Palmer and her Husband Charles W Palmer were already in Niagara Falls I believe.Mabel had 3 children, Douglas, born 1921 was killed in action in France in 1944. Delwin, born 1923, died 2003. He married Beryl McCleod. They had 2 children I believe, Douglas and Vivian.Mabel also had a Daughter,Yvonne.Gt Uncle Steve visited us in England between 1952 and 1956 but unfortunately I was too young to remember. He was one of my Grandmother's (Bessie Louisa) older Brothers. I would love to hear from his family. Gt Uncle Steve was spoken about quite often in our family, I felt as though I knew him personally.

He said his mother's mother was/is Ina (Lewis McDonald's sister) I met her and Ellen years ago at a funeral in NC. They were/are living in Norfolk. It was really hot that day and the car they were using to travel broke down. I think one of my uncles took them back to Va.

However, some of my info is not correct or I haven't entered info that I've obtain from elsewhere. I downloaded a tree on my laptop, Family Tree Heritage. I have more info on there that I haven't put on my online tree, yet. I sometimes get conflicting info. Familysearch.com is a good site from which I've obtained a lot of info as well as being able to see some documents. I copy and paste it on my downloaded tree. Hope to hear from you soon.

I posted this a few years ago, but now I have more information. My search for information on John Earl Skinner, Jr. continues and I must say the brick walls are starting to hurt some.

I am looking for:

John Earl Skinner, Jr.

John Earl was born June 30, 1913 in Easton, Pennsylvania to John Earl, Sr. and Helen Bitters Skinner. John was baptized in First Methodist Church, 2nd Street, Easton, PA. John Earl's grandparents, John E. & Rosa Skinner, lived on Sitgreaves St. and later on Mercer St. in Phillipsburg, NJ. John Earl Jr., played football for Phillipsburg High School 1929 & 1930. John Earl and parents lived at 61 Mercer Street. John died in October, 1994.

It is believed that John first married Ruth Hockman (Easton, PA) and had two daughters, Ruth Margaret and Florence Mae Skinner, birthdates unknown. John & Ruth later divorced, John married Edith Basthold and Ruth married Charles Russell Kranich.

Ruth was my aunt and I'm trying to find out what happened to her daughters. Please contact me with any information.

Thank you.
