I may be barking up the wrong tree but here goes. The 1870 census shows a John B and MJ Crow with WM & MJ Melican staying with. I can only deduce that MJ Melican and John B are related since they are both from Alabama. He is 35 and she 17. Later she is widowed and is with what appears to be another sister in Hill Co Tx--NJ Snider. All these initials and no names!!!! Does anyone have any clues that can link a John B, MJ and NJ Crow? from Alabama???
