One of my relatives is John Snider born July 1779 in PA, and died August 14, 1851 in Monongalia County WV. He was the son of George Snider and Catherine Dillon. He married Sarah Jeffreys (ries) November 10, 1812 in Eastern District, Mongongalia County VA.
Sarah Jeffreys (ries) born 1790 in MD; died Nov 5, 1856. She was the daughter of Benjamin Jeffreys and Elizabeth Bran. Please e-mail me if this is what you are looking for @ jmsnider@uncg.edu

I am descended from this couple. I noticed in your message that you said Elizabeth's maiden name was Bran. Could you please tell me how you got her name (documentation)? Another message board listed her name as Schmidt, but she couldn't tell me how she came up with that name. I believe that she was a granddaughter of James Bran, who was killed by Indians, but I don't know her parents' names. Please help if you can. I'll share what information I have on their son, Edmund Jeffreys (my g-g-g grandfather), that remained in Preston Co., WV and his descendents if you like.

I would be interested in seeing that website. I'm not sure if this John and Susan are a relation to me but I am looking for a John Snider and the names William and Riley are found in my tree. Also my Sniders came from VA. I heard there is Indian blood in my line too.
