Yes, that couple - Henry & Mary Snyder - are definitely in my ancestry, through their son, David Snyder, who married Sophia Gassman. David and his siblings were born in Bolivary, Tuscarawas County, but I have no idea if Martha and/or Catherine are siblings with this same family or if they are cousin-like relations. Snyder is such a common name, so it is anyone's guess.

No, I have not confirmed parents of Catherine or Martha. There is a Snyder couple buried in the Berkebile Cemetery in York Twp Fulton Co Ohio who may be the parents of Catherine and Martha. I have made an assumption but have little confidence in any of my guesses.
Mark

I have this same couple in my ancestry list and was never able to locate who Martha Snyder's parents were. I did notice that Daniel's older brother, Jacob Eberly (12/20/1822-3/24/1894) also married a Snyder (Catharine) in Tuscarawas County in 1846, but again could not find with any certainty if she might be a sister or cousin to Martha. Have you found anything in the time since this post?

Searching for information on Johann Michael Snyder b 1760

I am searching for information on the Snyder's, I have been able to go back as far as Johann Michael Snyder b 1760 d 1858, married to Mary Margaret Long b 1771 d 1841.Born in Washington, Maryland, buried in Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery. So far I have only been able to find 1 son, Martin Snyder and the birth dates do not con side as the dates for Martin are b1771 and d1882. Can't have him being born the same year as his mother.
Martin & Catherine had 10 children, John, Jacob B, Michael, David, Martin,Joseph, Elizabeth Betsy, Adam, CAtherine and Sarah Sally.
Can you help me try to straighten out my mistakes? My ancestors descend from Jacob B. Snyder b 1794 d 1881(Augusta Co., VA), later moving to Monroe County, Missouri. All of my later family lived/live in Missouri.
wlsnyder@charter.net

Thanks for your quick reply.
You are correct about Michael and Martin.
Most of my family tree I have built is from Martin Snyder and Catherine Thomas forward.I use Family Tree Maker and most of my research was done quite some time ago. The Martin Snyder I have was abt. 1771 and d October 6, 1822. He married Catherine Thomas January 18, 1791 in Augusta County Va. the had 10 children: John, Jacob B.,Michael, David, Martin,Joseph, Elizabeth Betsy, Adam, Catherine and Sarah Sally. My family is descended from Jacob B. Snyder b1794 d1881, He lived and died in Augusta County, Va. I have run into a problem with Jacob's marriages as he seemed to be married twice, and both marriages were to Jackson's, Francis Sterrett Jackson and Harriet Jackson. Either way my family came from Jacob B Snyder through John Johann Snyder. My John is buried in Santa Fe, MO and is my great, great , great grandfather. John was b 1812 and d 1906.

I don't think that Johann can be Michael's father! He would have fathered him at age 10!??

Also, do you really think that Martin lived to be 111 years old?! I'm sorry, I don't think so.

Are you just copying info you find in trees? and are you just accepting ancestry.com hints? Those are two ways to create very, very "messed up" trees!

How are you documenting what you find?
