Ella Stanfield possibly married a Burnard/various sp Morris/var sp abt 1868-9 GA? & perhaps James L Simkins 1876

Would anyone have any information on an Ella Stanfield who married a Burnard/Bernard/Barnard Morris/Marris/etc with a possible sp change from a "Mc"/"Mac" beginning and/or an "h" ending?

My Ella Stanfield is found on an 1870 Georgia census living with her mother Eliza(h) Jordan (widow) married to a Bernard/Burnard/Barnard M**** and her 8 month old son (Mat, Matt, M H, or M A). Also on the list is her twin sister Emma and her new husband Joseph Cunningham, her brother William F and 3 Jordan children (children of Eliza and Zachariah Jordan).

The last name is hard to decipher for Ella and husband.

I did find a marriage license for Ella(h) Stanfield and Burnard Morris on July 17, 1867 Spaulding Co, Georgia(
With Ella being about 15-17 years old). But, although the marriage date could fit for having an 8 month old son and Ella's approx age group), I am not certain this is my Ella and Burnard because of the last name given as groom.

Next, a nice person also located a marriage for Ella S Morris to James L Simkins on Aug 16, 1876. So if this is my Ella Stanfield and the first marriage is correct, could Burnard have died or divorced and she is marrying a second time???

If anyone might have any information about an Ella Stanfield/Standfield/various other spellings connecting with a Burnard M*** and/or an Ella S Stanfield Morris/James L Simkins/various spellings connection, I would be ever so grateful. Thanks in advance Sue

Standfield - Mississippi - McGee - Arkansas

My great-grandfather was Wiley Standfield, b-Mississippi, along with all family members listed with him in 1910 he moved to Arkansas and in the 1920 census the name is now Fred McGee, and all other family members are now last named McGee. We believe Wiley Standfield changed his name to Fred McGee after the towns McGee, MS and McGee, Arkansas. Are we able to get police reports to what could have happened to run an entire family from Mississippi in or about 1910-1919 then appear in Arkansas with last name McGee?

James, 1894 Ky, Harry Trippe, 11/26/1896 Shaker Town, Boyle, Ky. and Edwin or Edmund or Edward, 1898, Ky. Looking for any information on Her and her families. Including her husband. Susan, would you have any information on a Mr. Stanfield (possibly Joseph) who married and Eliza (possibly Eliza Adaline C----last name beginning with a "B")? They would have married approximately 1852 possibly in Georgia. They had 3 children: twins Ella and Emma born abt Feb 1853 possibly Alabama or Georgia and William born Feb 1855 in Georgia.

Mr. Stanfield has either left or died before William's birth or just shortly after as Eliza then marries Zachariah Jordan abt 1856-7. I have found Eliza, Zachariah, the three Stanfield children, Zachariah's son William, and 2 Eliza/Zachariah children on the Neshoba, Mississippi 1860 census. 1870 census finds Eliza back in Georgia with her three Jordan children, my William F Stanfield, Emma and her new husband J E Cunningham, Ella and her husband Bernard (M?) and small son (MT?). Eliza is listed as a widow.

I have hit a brick wall as to the maiden name of Eliza and as to any information on Mr. Stanfield. Hope you will be able to help. Thank you for your time. Sue

Looking either name Benjamin or Jermiah Standfield born in 1866. Unable to read the 1900 census I have from 1900. Know he was married to Hattie (Harriet) May Clark born in 1866 in Kentucky. Lived in Boyle County. Their children are James M. , Harry T. (my great grandfather), Samuel L. I know that Ben may have jumped ship to stay in the states. May have lied about where he was from. But tell the truth about his parent born in Germany. He was a tailor on a ship. Harry T. moved in Indiana in South Bend. Mother came along. Know she was remarried to someone name Cornish. Commited suicide.

yes jeniffer you have the right one my dads name is jack standfield. iam not doing the resurce but aunt dorthy and her daughter are. grandma was married to chalies standfield. uncle don died last dec. but my dad and aunt dorthie and aunt marie are still alive. aunt dorthy lives in oregon, dad lives in minn. and aunt marie lives in hawii. i will give you aunt dorthys email address you can contact her she will know more. dotfrombend@webtv.net
