Casper Strader is my 5th grt-grandfather. I haven't researched the Strader's very much, but I do have the following:

I also think the issue I am having at this point is verifying I have the correct Casper Strader, as well as, Johann Heinrich. Between the different spellings of Strader on the ship manifest and different dates I see randomly on different websites, I am just not sure I have it right. I have Caspar Strader (1705-1778) married to Margaret Uhrmeister 1725 in Germany, with 6 children - Anna Margaret, Johannes Conrad, Catherine, Johann Heinrich, Casper, Catherina. Apparently, his wife stayed in Germany and only Casper and Johann Heinrich and Conrad came to the states? Does this seem correct? Thanks a bunch!

My dad is Gene (Floyd Eugene). My mom is Iva Mae Johnson Strader. I am their oldest daughter, LaDonna Lynn Strader Young. I do have some correct cemetery info, but not a lot. It seems the farther back I try to go the more conflicting dates of birth and death I come across. I will have to keep researching. Mom and Dad and I have been visiting cemeteries and trying to locate graves, so we will continue with our searches! Thanks! :)

Lloyd Franklins children was he? Was it Charles or Gene?
Or was he just another of the children of Lloyd and Doris?
Then who would be your mother? - and you would be ??..

I say this because you seem to have all the right names in
a row. Now if you have census - marriages - cemetery info to cover them all - you should be alright. What else are
you needing?

Hey! Casper is supposedly my 8th great grandfather - but I am so aggravated at trying to figure this all out. It seems so complicated and I find really conflicting information everywhere I look! Did you have any success in finding out anything on him? I am descended from Casper - Johann Heinrich - George - George - Joseph - George Wesley - Perry Franklin - Lloyd Franklin - and then my father, Floyd. Extremely mind boggling!

Yes, I do. I am a direct decedent of jonathan strader still living here in NC. :) Here is a link to a family tree I've been building with the straders. My name is Caroline Mann. My paternal grandfather was the son of Annie Kenett Strader, who married the brother of Adeline, whose name was Jonathan C. Strader.

I had no idea Mike was dead, he was my first cousin. His father Virgil was my Dad's older brother. My Dad was James Edward Strader, he died Sept. 3, 2003.

For info -- Rootsweb has a obituary file listing Strader
names from all over the country. It only gives the name
- date - age - newspaper - place. Does not give the full
obit. However you might find someone you are looking for
there. At last check it had over 500 names listed.

I dont know anything about his mother. I do know that he has a brother named Dan/Daniel/Danny Children named Carin, Cherill, Casandra, Daniel, and others too but i know not their names. he was born in pontiac michigan. not sure if it helps but im stuck lol
