I recall a website some years back with excellent resources run by a descendant of Lovic. A lot of information and some photos too.

Thomas moved to East Tennessee where his wife's family lived. I believe that is where he died. He was my GGG Grandfather, with WG being my GGGG.

My mother was a Streetman and William Geter Streetman and his wife and family came to Ark. and that is where I grew up. Of course, he and his wife were dead long before I came along. My great grandfather is brother to Thomas Jefferson Streetman and they all came to my part of Ar. and settled...but not Thomas... I have a letter that William G. wrote to Thomas that you might want a copy of. William G. had several children and my great grandfather was named Lovic and then he married and had my grandfather whose name is Jesse Harrison Streetman.

Jennifer - I was researching Thomas Jefferson Jordan and Sallie Streetman Jordan. They were my maternal great grandparents. So your grandfather and my great grandmother were siblings. Which would make you 2nd cousins with my mother (Barbara Roach Lattier, born 1933 & deceased Dec-75). I was looking up info on Thomas Jefferson Jordan's brother, Henderson Jordan ... who was sheriff of the posse that ambushed Bonnie & Clyde in Gibsland, LA, in 1934. Unfortunately I have no surviving relatives from Sallie Streetman's generation. Sallie had two daughters, Helen & Gracie Jordan. They were Guy's nieces & your father's 1st cousins. Unfortunately they are both deceased as well. Good luck with your research. ~ Ken Lattier
Streetman, Cephas Pinkney, bn 09 Dec 1872 in Kossuth, Alcorn, MS, was my grandfather.

I want to put at rest the spelling of his middle name. It is Pinkney with an "n," not Pinkvey with a "v."

I knew my grandfather extremely well, and I distinctly remember asking my father about my grandfather's middle name.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply to my post. My name is Charles Douglas Streetman Jr. I am the great grandson of Charles Streetman. My grandfather was Eldridge Lee Streetman. The object of your search was my great grandmother. I am 48 yrs. old, but remember her quite well. She and my grandfather were deserted by my great grandfather shortly after my grandfather's birth. I have a letter my grandfather had in his personal belongings when he died from Charles (great grandfather) that is from Los Angeles, CA. I would be glad to send you a copy if you would like to see it. That is the only thing I own that provided any information about him. I remember tales of my grandfather growing up on a farm in Commerce Ga. He subscribed to the Commerce Times until he died, but I know little of his life there. I do remember hearing him talk of sharecroppers that lived on the farm. I also know there are several Ginn family members still in the Ga. area. Specifically, Kenneth and Jean Ginn, and Kim Ginn ( son of Edwin Ginn, my grandfather's cousin) I also remember him talking fondly of spending summers with them. I don't know anything about how Della and my grandfather ended up in North Carolina, where I currently reside. She died in Davidson County at the Hilltop Rest Home, a very old spunky woman who was happy as long as she had a can of snuff to dip! Please let me know if I can answer any more questions for you. My email address is doug.streetma@prucarolinas.com

I see this is a very old post but hoping you can answer the question of Della Ginn and Charles marriage.
I'm reseaching Della Ginn (b: 1892 ) who appears in the 1910 thru 1930 census as residing with her parents, Isaac L and Elizabeth in Davids, Banks Co, GA. Her son Elridge Streetman (b: 1908) resides with her and she is listed as Widowed.
Here seems to be different spelling for her married name but the trail is there.
I came across a death certificate for Della Susan Streetman, who parents are listed as Isaac and Elizabeth.
I read you posting that seems to say your Della and mine may be the say person. If this is true then I'd love any info you can share on Della.
I've seen a ancestry tree that lists Charles' death as 1940?? Did he desert his family in GA? When did Della move to NC and did she move with her son, Elridge?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
KC Ginn

Did you mean Charles married Della Ginn?
I'm working on Della Ginn (b:(possible Stoutman or Streetman) and found in censuses 1910-1930 she resided with her parents Isaac L and Elizabeth in Banks, GA. and is listed as widowed.
Hi Nancy

I am descended from Charlie's uncle Sinclair Streetman.

Would your Cecil be Raymond Cecil Streetman Jr or possibly Cecil Gene Streetman?

I checked the size of the family group sheets. The one on Charles Mack Streetman's descendants would be 741 pages if printed out. The one on his ancestors would be 89 pages.

This information is on the Streetman Genealogy Site and it would probably be better to just give him (and you too if you like) access to the site and let him view it there.

The site is password controlled and you have to be made a member. I would need your names and e-mail addresses. Please contact me at estree7656@aol.com.

Gene Streetman
Gene, how wonderful! I guess I will let Cecil (do you know him?) contact you himself, but I could whet his appetite with the group sheets. I think I have at least some of the descendants, can you go back further on his parents and grandparents, etc? As well as his mother's ancestors?

Would he have to be invited to the MyFamily.com one? I am on several sites there, but don't know how I could access it.

I saw mention of another Streetman site, or is it the same as the one you mentioned?
Thank you!
Nancy

Yes, Charles Mack Streetman is in my family tree and I have a lot of information on him and his descendants. Also there is a Streetman Genealogy Site on MyFamily.com that has a lot of information. I can send you a gedcom or a family group sheet on Charlie Mack. Which works better for you?

Gene Streetman

I can tell you where D.O. Streetman is buried. Also his wife, Martha J., and two marked "Bibby" plots and the grave of "Anderson Ritter", among others. Send me an e-mail at <auction@intop.net>

Hello,
I have just found the marriage record of Francis Beard and Mary Ann Streetman in Stewart County, Georgia. I believe this is my husband ggggrandparents who later moved to Alabama. If this is correct family he descends from their child Harriett. Do you have her listed as this couples child?
Thank you for any help to verify I have the correct family.

I am hoping that someone can help. I have a ggggrandfather, Francis (Franklin B. Beard) who married Mary Ann Stroman (Streetman) in 1836 in Stewart Co. GA. Her father is listed as Will Stroman but I have found the name spelled Streetman also. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello Sue,

If this is William Tapley Streetman b. 09 Mar 1841 d. 16 Jun 1874, a son of Sinclair Streetman and Emeline Booth, then he is my ggrandfather too. I am descended from his son William Martin Elmore Streetman. How are you descended?

I have a picture of him in confederate uniform and an extensive family tree of his descendants which I would be happy to share. Please contact me at estree7656@aol.com.

Gene Streetman
