I'm sure you have found many of them by now, but if you see my tree you'll see the entire family and they all go up.

I had Ayers obit for awhile, not sure where it is now. I know that all the 8 sib's from his batch have all passed away. As are all the 8 sib's of my Grandpa Stump. They were half brothers. GG Press did add an "H' to their last name when he married Ellen, he said he didn't know why he did that, he just wanted to. LOL Hope this helps.

Press died of cancer before they ever called it cancer. But he had a whole in his back the size of a dinner plate and paid the grands to scratch it. Just thought I'd throw that in as a little background. LOL

Welcome to the Family!
Sheila Jean Adkins Metcalf

Your great-grandmother Emma Jane [Green] Redding and my great grandmother Mary Bell [Green] Cheatham were half-sisters. I have been looking into the family for several years now and have known about the Buerers, but have not been able to really trace you. Please, e-mail me directly at ginamarieja@yahoo.com. Thanks!!! Virginia

I wasn't old enough to go in, so I never met her. I do know that she is the one that told Dad that grandma was part Indian. A story I heard once had to do with Chief Joseph. Belle died many years ago. They sent for grandma's birth certificate because of social security. Also think she was getting a check from another state--maybe indian money.

My grandmother was Mary Rebecca Stumph. Married to Charles Davis. They lived in San Diego County, Calif. She died before I was born in 1947. I am looking for information about the family. There were six children of this marriage. Ada, Geneva, Delia, Virgil, Charles, Sam. Could this person be one of the Stumphs that you are looking for.
Suzanne Rebecca Watson (Davis)

Lydia Stumpf/Stumph

Oops, just noticed the 1841 marriage date of Christian. Too late to be Lydia's father. But if you have any other Lydia's in the line, I'd be interested.
Sue

Lydia Stumpf/Stumph

Do you have any dates for Christian's children? I have a Lydia Stumpf in my line who married a Sylvester Hall in Pickaway County, OH. Lydia was born in 1838 (I know not where). If Christian was her father, he would have been 17 when she was born. Your posting is the first Stumpf/Stumph posting where I've seen a Lydia mentioned.
Thanks for any input,
Sue
