Looking for any info on Alvina Stygall married James Huff 11-20-1854. Later possibly married Thomas Lykins. Huff children Mary,Almina/Alvina,Virginia,George W. Sr.,Jefferson D. all born between 1856-1865. Thanks for anything.

The info that I have is that James was a preacher and was killed coming out of the church. Now I don't know if this story is accurate or just sounded good at the time!Do you really think that this could be part of your family because this is as far back as I've gotten. I have that they were married in Lincoln, Ky but resided in Rockcastle Co.
Geo. W. moved to OK territory and became a U.S. marshall. My grandfather is Geo. W. Jr.
So anything you have would be very useful to me.

I have recently come across a record in familysearch that has James Huff and Alvina Stigall having another son that I had no previous knowledge of, his name was James J. Huff b. 16 April ,1857 in Rockcastle Co. Is it possible that this is who your great Aunt Almira Hardin married? I reside in Rockcastle co. Have a Rockcastle co. history book.May be able to find census record. I believe my great Aunt Almira b Hardin married james second time. You are first relative have found on this Huff line-I wonder how it connects James Huff of Va. line.
