Hi Linda Sales...
Yes. We are related. I sent another reply to your cousin. I've made contact with many relatives via Facebook. Among them is a "Saturnino". Go to my Facebook Page and request being a friend. Don't be misguided by my profile pic. It is my high school photo. Of course I'm much older now. Also wee the message I sent to your cousin.

http://www.facebook.com/#!/tony.subia

Hi...
I'm sure we are related. I've discovered many relatives I never knew I had. My Dad's (Ambrosio)baby sister (Modesta)is still alive in Hawaii. My Dad's siblings were Paula, Rosalia and Bonafacia and have made contact with many of the offspring. My Dad's Mother was Maria Sales Subia and his Dad was Jorge Subia. I've made contact with many relatives via Facebook. Among them is an Anna Saturnino who is a great granddaughter of Bonafacia. Also a Juanita Madariago who's Mother was Rosalia Subia.

Would love to make contact and try to put pieces of ancestry together. Visit my FB Page and make a friend request. There are many friends that are Subia's or related.

http://www.facebook.com/#!/tony.subia

Don't be misguided by the profile pic.
We are related! My grandfather, Jose Subia Sales, was Ambrosia's cousin. My mom has pictures of your dad and spoke fondly of her "Uncle Amby" being the Yo Yo Champion of the World! She told me that her Uncle Amby and Uncle Felix would visit them in Chicago where they lived for many years. Your dad moved to Phoenix when she was a teenager she tells me. Her name is Paula. Please reach out if you'd like to connect with her. So nice to find you on Ancestry.com!

We are related somehow. Nellie was my aunt. I think she is my greataunt. I think one her brothers was my grandfather. I will try to find out his name. My grandfather had I think six sons and three daughters. Some of their names I remember, Inez, Raymond, Tony, Cruz, Lydia, Mary, and "rose" not her real name. Tony is my father. I was born in Fresno Ca. My name is also Tony. My dad and some of his siblings were put into foster care. At one point when my dad was 18 he went to live with Nellie and Bud in Fresno. That's when my dad met my mom who lived two houses from Nellie and Bud.

I met Alice a couple times around 1999-2000 and visited with Anita before she passed I have pictures with them both. This so confusing to keep it all straight. I am going to call my dad tomorrow to find out his parents names.

I think I am related to your wife. I visited Anita Pompa in a nursing home a year before her death a couple of times. I remeber she had a doll she used to hold all the time. I think she was my greatgrand mother. One of her daughters I think was my grandmother who was my dads mom. My dads name is Antonio Subia. I am Tony Subia age 39 my mom and dad divorced when I was 2. That's why I don't have alot of info. I think I remember visiting someone named Alice and she brought us to the nursing home to see my greatgrandma "Pompa". I have a picture of her and I together. Alice was living in San Jose at the time. I wanted to find out about my grandmother. I will try to find out her name. Thanks.

I was born in Fresno Ca in 1970. I am Mexican also. Am I related to anyone on here? I know my dad had a large family with 3 sisters and I think 6 brothers. They went into the foster care system when they were young. I don't know much about my grandparents or the Subia side of my family.

I too have Subia relatives from West Texas = Ruperto Subia b 1850 GGGF (Reeves Co/Pecos) I have looked up Epitacio Subia and Agapito Subia on the Latter day saints ancestry. This is what I found:

Felipe Epitacio Subias Olivas b 1848 Amacuzac, Morelos, MX. Parents are Camilo Subias and Micaela Olivara. Keep in mind that the last names is usually the mothers name and name before that is the fathers name.

Maria Agapita De La Luz Subia christened on 3/17/1829 @ Nazas, Durango MX. Mother is Maria Pabla Subia
