I have a photo of Doris Swalwell and my Aunt Sally Ashley when they were in the WAVES. Photo states taken in studio of Still Div Photo Science Lab, Oct-Nov 1945 and they are in uniform. If any one has more information I would appreciate hearing from you.

We are starting to think that the Emmersons were from East Bolden. I have found that name for a few parish record there but no Fentons born in East Boldon.

Can you please let me know the names of Mary Shaw and David Richardson's children. I only have your David III.

This was my great uncle. His father was William Swalwell born on Feb 14, 1886 and he also served in the first world war. He was a diver. Thomas had a sister (my grandmother) named Clonie (Clotilda).

In Los Angeles County, California, about 1964, my brother Barlow and a sweet young girl, Debbie Swalwell were too young and too much in love. Debbie had a daughter, I think named Kristine, who was given up to adoption at the insistance of her family. Those were very different times. If you are Kristine or Debbie, - or if you know either of them - please contact me.

Swalwell / Batensby / Clark

George Swalwell married Hannah Clark in 1825 in the Parish of Darlington in the County of Durnham. (both bride & groom apparently signed their names - i understand this was not common at that time)

John Swalwell and Elizabeth Battensby of Coopen were married in 1803

George Swalwell 1st sone of John Swalwell, native of Wolviston, by his wife Elizabeth Battensby, native of Cowpen, was born 1804

Dorothy Swalwell, 2nd daughter of John Swalwell by Elizabeth Bantens his wife, was baptized in 1806.

Geo Swallow / Fra Swallow came to Darlington from Barnard Castle sometime before 1767 - we are not sure if these are part of are our family or not.

we have a Dorothy Swlwell, second daughter of John Swalwell by Elizabeth Bantens, his wife, baptized December 1, 1806 (Grindon parish, next to Billingham parish)....

we have a Frank Clark born to William & Amelia Swalwell (nee Fisher) in the county of Durham, and registered in Hartlepool.

George was born 1804, the 1st son of John Swalwell, native of Wolviston by his wife Elizabeth Battensby, Native of Cowpen. George Swalwell married Hannah Clark in 1825 in the Parish of Darlington in the County of Durnham.

I have a John Swalwell originaeting from Wolviston in the Parish of Billingham, who married Elizabeth who originated from Cowpen. (John is the father of George who married Hanna Clark)

Ann Swalwell Haines died between the 1881 and 1891 censuses. Robert remarried in 1893 to Annie Calvert who died in 1899. Robert died in 1915 at the age of 89. .

At least two sons, George and Thomas Haines, immigrated to Ontario, Canada. George is my great grandfather.

Looking for connections with any Durham Swalwells. We have Dorothy (b1817) marrying Thomas Reed in 1838 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Later settling in Iveston area. Does anyone know of Dorothy's siblings or parents please?

I don't know if this will help or not, but somewhere along my dad's side, someone moved out of Ireland and to America. I'm only 15 yrs. old and I live with my mom, so I'm not sure how accurate this story is.

Thomas Swalwell was born 1921, died in 1976
He lived on Toronto Island all his life.
His dad was from Ireland, his mom Mary was also from Ireland. Her maiden name was Mary Dorney. Any information would be helpfull.
