Cedar Grove Cem, Bealeton, Va has several Tapps. Charlie Tapp (b.1885), wife Josephine (b.1890), two of their sons Earl S Tapp (b.1914) and Nolan H. Tapp (b.1921). Also has Anna Tapp (b. 1923), Irven Earl Tapp (b.1941) and Mary Francis (b.1945). I will look at actual markers to determine relationships of the last 3 listed, suspect they are spouse and children to one of previous listed sons, but not sure

Tapp/Taptico book

If you want to download this book, there are several places on the internet where you can do this. Do a Google search for "genealogy of the cloyd basye and tapp families" to find them. There appears to be little proof in the information in the book, so it is probably partly true, partly "fiction," which is the case with most genealogy reports that do not have proof. The problem would be with separating fact from fiction.

Married to Josephine Tapp. Resided several places around Culpeper County and Fauquier County.Old census record indicates he may have been "adopted" by another family, could have just been a teenage farm laborer on someone's farm?

Everyone in the USA asssumes we know that, but we come from all over the world. I am in Australia.

By "here" I assume USA from England.
To Laura

Thank You

Did you ever go to the Van Taylors Family Picnics in Roundrock, Texas, near Old McNeal Road. I believe Van Taylors mother was a sister of Mary Josephine Williams, her name was Bertha Williams.

Actualy both Bertha Williams and Eurelda Williams married two Taylor brothers Houston and Charles.

I remember a Mildred Brock going to a several of those picnics with Ham Petri.

Alyssa

Actually, it is my husband's tree, and yes, he is related to Eurelda Estelle Williams. He descends from her sister, Mary Josephine Williams and John Henry Brock.

Regarding Eurelda Estelle and John Pinkney, I have two more children in addition to the ones you listed. They are Sybil Estelle Taylor (7 Nov 1903 - 3 Dec 1977) and Austin Graydon Taylor (12 Aug 1905 - 15 Feb 1961). Austin was a fireman, killed in a car crash, and his parents names are confirmed on the death cert.

Laura

I was just reading your post's on your Indian heritage and German as well. I have read many logs on the indian and how settlers coming from other countries inter married and I have did much research on my family . Georgia didn't start keeping records untill 1919 at least at local level and ? on State. As I understand most of the Indians were here upon finding the Country by who ever , But I was suprised to find how many nationalities came over to help settle America or there after, and in so many ways. Just thinking Jim
